Ten Days Meme: (3) Eight ways to win my heart
12 years ago
General
I'm having fun with these and i worry I may not want to do the rest starting tomorrow, so I'm doing as many as I can. Don't worry. You read them whenever you have time. Just save the page or bookmark it.
Now I assume by "win my heart" in this instance, you can interpret it as "gaining my trust," cause like I said in a previous post, I'm not looking for anyone. Just saying. : )
My heart is a not a prize to be earned, people/furs/ponies.
Day One: Ten things you want to say to ten different people right now
Day Two: Nine things about yourself.
Day Three: Eight ways to win your heart. <<<also ALSO today
Day Four: Seven things that cross your mind a lot.
Day Five: Six things you wish you’d never done.
Day Six: Five people who mean a lot (in no order whatsoever)
Day Seven: Four turn offs.
Day Eight: Three turn ons.
Day Nine: Two smileys that describe your life right now.
Day Ten: One confession

1. Honesty
I respect honesty more than many other qualities. I myself strive to be honest in everything I do, though it is often difficult. I think someone who makes excuses for lying is a poor person indeed. Those who uphold honesty even in the face of adversity earn my respect.
2. Open-mindedness
I am an LGBT Christian Fur. That is a combo that is very rare indeed. *hugs Jarrell Woods* But I work to remain open-minded and seek to surround myself with those who are the same. I've been in groups with those whose closed minds have caused massive harm to those around them (including me).
3. Costuming

3b. Costuming...part 2
I love people who love costuming and getting together to costume in a group is SOOOO fun! I have a strong heart for performance art. If I had a bigger budget, I'd make/buy more costumes and wear them ALL the time. I'd even create a youtube channel just for it. Something to think about for the future.
4. Respect of Gender Identity
I express myself in ways that can be considered masculine, feminine and androgynous. If someone does not respect that, then I won't feel comfortable with that person and will probably not hang out with them for long. Those who respect my gender expression will find a strong and true friendship with me. Plus, I'm just more fun when I'm allowed to be ALL the versions of myself!
5. Mercy and Forgiveness
I try to forgive others. It's not always easy (when is it ever?) but I do try. If others can find forgiveness and mercy in their hearts, then they can learn to see the good in others without focusing on any weakness of character they may have. Not to say it isn't important to address such things when necessary, but it's also important to know when to say "i forgive you," and actually mean it.
6. I M A G I N A T I O N !
Hey, come out and play! I like make-believe and problem-solving in fun and creative ways. I've learned to use my imagination to make life more fun and figure things out that others may not be able to see anymore because they gave up on their creative faculties. If you utilize your imagination, you'll find friendship with me!
7. Taking the Initiative
I can't tell you how many times men and women have disappointed me because they expect someone else to do their work for them, or protect them or do something to make their lives easier while they do nothing. Nope, ain't having that. I respect and admire those who take the initiative and do what they can for themselves with honesty, integrity and hard work. Sure, sometimes we all need to ask for help, but don't think people should do your work for you.
8. Understanding, and Exhibiting, Self-Sacrifice
This is the hardest one. I've met people who exemplify selfish desires as well as people who are pillars of altruism and goodness (and those in-between). To understand the concept of sacrifice is one thing. To actually perform self-sacrifice is a whole other matter. I try to do this when I can. Sometimes I succeed. Sometimes I don't. I've exhibited self-centered tendencies before, but I'm working to overcome that and have done so with some really good success. With friends, I want to know they will uphold goodness and not act in selfish manners. Selfish acts can, and have, destroyed lives. But self-sacrifice can save so many. Even the individual who performs the act.
