well the eloping isn't expensive, the only thing that would be expensive is a honeymoon if you went somewhere, eloping is just having it done at a local courthouse. Now the big wedding thing can get to be a problem if you want it to be catered or such, but there's actually alot of really cost effective solutions that can make an elaborate wedding possible for $500 and less

What was the last book you read? Was it good?

The last one I read was actually a compilation of three books by Tanith Lee, the Claidi Star series, it was excellent and had alot of twists, the book I'm reading now, Kushiel's Justice, is phenominal, but it's my favorite series, so I expected no less.

Do you often tell people in person about the religion you made for yourself?

*nods nods* Unfortunately I haven't heard of these books myself. Maybe I ought to find out more about them.

And well, I generally don't meet a lot of people... And when I do it's not the first thing I start to talk about. But I preach about my views often when I'm with my roommate... I think she hates that, ha ha, but I know she loves me anyway.

You just said the answer...ANYWHERE!!! Well, I should say anywhere but the midwest. I absolutely hate this part of the country. If I could go to Washington state I'd take that up in an instant. If I could go to Pennsylvania I'd take that up in an instant. If I could go to Kansas...I'd turn it down. I can't stand the good majority of people in this part of the country, especially in my state (especially females...and I've been to enough states in this part of the country to see enough dumb females). So yeah, anywhere but the midwest...and especially Missouri.

Well, I've lived in the midwest my whole life. And me being a former truck driver, I've been to places that I tend to find much more attractive than the midwest, especially St. Louis (where I currently live). That's just my thought on the whole thing, though.

We've a lot in common then. I'm a current truck driver (just a regional driver due to my grandfather), lived in my area for as of Saturday all my 30 years.

But I agree with you about the attractiveness of this area. I took a trip to Corpus Cristi, Texas about 12 years ago to Padre Island. All the places I saw there make me a true believer that as the old country song states, God blessed Texas. ^_^

When you're drawing a blank, what do you do to brainstorm?

I get a lot of different answers to this, so it's always fun to ask.

Either I draw a bunch of gestural lines, or better yet I go submerge myself in a creative environment to give my muse a boost. Just sitting in a coffee shop does wonders for my creativity

Oh yeah! And your question - How did you get so insightful to the lives of married couples like in your comic?

Believe it or not, I just make all that stuff up. The stuff I see in the media never really clicked with me -- it just seems so artificial and melodramatic. I don't believe in love at first sight and all that idealistic garbage, so I've always envisioned a mate as a very close friend.

Chris and Robert are both based on my own personality, albeit opposite sides. All the other characters are not based on real people in any way.

Except Stacy. She's the dumbest character in any of my comics, and the only one based on a real person!

No, I don't, because there's too many dogs out there that need good homes regardless of if they're AKC or not and buying one for that amount only encourages backyard breeders to continue to breed dogs when thousands get put to death in shelters every day.

What do you think the best pet to have is?

*smiles* I also considered this as a question from ya, and here is my answer. Any type of Canid that you can care for. I myself would have to say it's literally a tossup between a Siberian Husky, and a Fox, only if I could obtain the correct licensing.

But since I can only choose one pet...

Siberian Husky! Why, because they are beautiful dogs. And they are fiercely loyal to their owners, and are playful as can be! *smirks* Besides, I'd love to come home to a 130lb.+ dog that could throw me across the room because they're happy that I'm home.

The only control other people can have over you is control you give them. There are people out there who have skeletons in their closets, and to such people who spend their lives trying to cover up their secrets, they're unwittingly granting people the power to manipulate them, to bribe them, or to use them in exchange for the false promise that they won't reveal those secrets.

If on the other hand, you have nothing to hide and you're open and honest with who you are and what you've done to become the person you are, then nobody can ever blackmail you or seek to control you through illicit means. I myself can respect anyone, as long as they're honest. It's people who can't be true to themselves and who put on a face that I don't respect. And to what ends? Any admiration they gain while wearing a mask is only false admiration. Me? I want to be loved for who I am, and how can I be loved for who I am if nobody knows who that person is?

My question: How do you keep track of everyone when you don't keep a watch list?

By the the same token, no one can do these things to you if no one knows that you have something to hide; no one can manipulate or control you through your secrets if they are truly secret.

Yet at the same time, another factor comes into play as well:

You see? In a situation like this one, people will ask innocent, harmless questions, because they will not risk the chance of receiving a potentially-revealing question in return. They know this, and so they play along, confident in this unspoken social contract that everyone has secrets, and that very few of us would risk having them brought to light. I suppose this could be considered a form of trust, and could be valued as such.

To answer your question: I can only say that I've never actually thought about it. I've never felt the need for a watch list; I just remember the names. :)

Well, in my art, I've had plenty of people tell me that messing around with bars and graphs is a waste of time to be so nitpicky, so I definitely understand the virtue of doing something in the way that works best for you. It's okay silly, you didn't say anything wrong!

I'm a stranger to you, but I feel so isolated from the females in the fandom. I always wonder and wish I could get their perspective in that regard on so many things, but just one..... Could you tell me the way a miserably lonely male may make his feelings known to a lady without coming off as just one more in a sea of lonely males, and be believed in his shy outreaching to her amidst all the lies I think many females are told along the way?

Well, to begin with, you can't just drop something like that on a woman from out of nowhere, her very first reaction, no matter who you are, will be aversion and mistrust, even if there is some flattery thrown into the mix. So I would say you have to get to know her first, any relationship lasts based on how long you were friends first unless it's one of those freak love at first sight scenarios, but those are rare. So talk to her, get to know her, spend a few months getting in her good graces first with sincere attention.

I thought that was the case. It makes me sad for all that females have to put up with, and how difficult it makes it to meet anyone and fall in love. But thank you! My attention is always sincere. :) If awkward..
