Frankly I don't get it either, I kinda think its trashy. I would like to be enlightened also.

When my friend Wing Defiance finished her fursuit we went out on the college campus for a photo shoot. Her character is fantasy related so we took a few shots in the park like area by the lake and then we went to the Chapel where there was stained glass and fountains. I took half the pictures and Nashi took the other half. Picking a themed setting makes a lot more sense to me than just randomly wandering around Wal-Mart but I suppose some people don't have that many options.

Random thought: They're thrilled at the incongruity between their fantasy character, set against the boring, down to earth backdrop of the wal-mart because what better describes the valley of tears that is life but if not Wal-mart?

Because, fursuits cost money, as does food, and Wal-Mart has exceptionally low prices. It seems like the logical place to go shopping when you spent 2 months worth of checks on a suit. Plus Wal-Marts take up about 78% of space on the continental US, so venturing elsewhere would take a lot more effort.
