Why be Keagan...

Today I was sitting at work trying to figure out how much I really have to offer as a person. I find more and more in today’s society we are busy copying other people and not being ourselves. Is it because we are afraid to really put ourselves out there...that people will judge us and what we do with our lives?
I think personally back to the people in life I tried to emulate. What makes them so fantastic and so amazing, that I would trade in the real me for another person? I then started to think about what makes me not so great and of course when you think about this the answers aren’t nice.
The answer to this from my perspective is a multitude of things. Lack of self worth, lack of acknowledgement of ones own strengths, lack of trust ones self and finally the biggest reason the wanting to be liked.
So here we sit at a cross road. Do we as society continue to be someone we are not or do we overcome these faults and be who we are supposed to be. What proof do we have that your or I are not amazing people.
I know personally I have had enough of trying to make everyone happy and in the long run and not being happy myself. Today I turn over a new leaf and consider the importance of just being me. I welcome anyone reading this to do the same. Embrace who you are. Go for it! After alls said and done no one remembers the Elvis impersonators name...Just the name Elvis.
