Sorry for the recent journal blitz; guess I’ve just had a lot of cause to reach out to the community, and there aren’t really any people I know in person to whom I can really ask these questions. And, well, this one is a far simpler request than the last two. I’ve finally gotten into a creative mood for another writing project, and I’d like some suggestions from you. It’s not a continuation of “The Devouring Shadow” series, as I’ve mentioned before however. That one’s continuation is still eluding me.

Anyway, onto the point of this journal. I’m finding myself wanting to avoid using stereotype species for certain characters, and just avoiding wolves for this one with how prominently they’ve appeared in one form or another in almost all of my previous works. So I was wondering if some of you could suggest some mammalian animals, preferably predatory. Yes, there’s a reason they need to be mammals, but that I’ll leave for the story. Are there any underused or underappreciated mammalians you’d like to see portrayed in writing? I’m up for anything mammalian and predatory/omnivorous. Asking all of you to provide one or two animals that come to mind is a much easier way of collecting an assortment on non-standard animals, and why not let my watchers contribute to my works?

I have some names if that may help with connecting them to species (sometimes things like that just go together). The two characters names are Katrina and Valencia, and are both female.
