I really like Sergals. They've such a simple, yet distinctive design which makes them outstanding and makes it easy to tell them apart from other species (and vice versa unless it really is a close one)

I don't get what's up with all the comparison though. Anything with flat skull and pointy snout is instant-Sergal, moreso if it has generic husky markings.

But I guess that's how the brain works, comparing things with one other :I
Like you get to hear that your character looks like this or that character from this or that anime, though they look barely alike maybe except for the haircolor or something.

It happens, because of familiarity. Lets take for example one of the most famous movies, The Lion King. Because of the familiarity, alot of the people who have drawn fursonas/furries the same style as disney did. Got accused of stealing Simba/Kovu/etc..(I'm tired lol). Its not that anyone means harm(well, most mean no harm). Its simply that because sergals have gotten as famous as they have, that others sometime see a sergal instead of something original.

I really think it's just the human brain. It's made for comparing things with another, and sometimes it's a little too busy with the pattern seeking :)

Никогда особо не понимал этих жалоб типа - "Изгиб морды как у..." Если разбирать каждое существо, то окажется, что они хотя бы в одном будут схожи. Ну и "Все уже создали до нас", а природа так вообще - с ней не поспорить. Каждый раз рисуя новое существо даже с неведомой анатомией, все равно отталкиваешься от чего-то :)
