Typically.. I have relied on any commissions I could get... And now, with no commissions at all in over a month or so.. I'm hurting for money. I wanted to try to start saving for a way to get out of California... but.. with no income.. how am I going to do this?
Is it because people don't like my art? Is it because people are so sick and twisted that they only want to spend money on Mature art? Or are people not willing to even buy art anymore? Is it because I don't do enough fan art?
I'm not sure why, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong... I've been told my prices are 'too cheap' for the work I do.. and yet I see people pay for three line poems for upwards of ten, even twenty dollars... But are not willing to pay that for a fully colored and detailed piece of artwork?
I could start offering traditional style commissions? Would people like those more?
.. What should I do to get more commissions. No one even batted an eyelash at my Iron Artist Challenege.. NO ONE... Why!?

Your art is awesome, too, if I had monies I'd commission some, but I'm almost homeless myself. x.x
situations are different, and a lot of times, people just dont have the money.
I've seen your dA and I know that you have way more watchers than over here.
I would suggest that you do some free stuff, to get your name out more, but that really depends on your turnout.....
Wish I could help more, hell I want out of this state right now, too.
1) No featured submission. Take your best (or most highly rated) FURRY image and set it as your featured pic. That way, it is the first thing everyone sees.
2) Not enough watchers. One idea would be to do a raffle-style free sketch thingie and require that everyone who enters advertise you on their journal. Another idea is to join/post to groups or other people's journals/images: that way, people see your name and maybe click on you (obviously, you shouldn't say "click on me" or anything like that - that would be spam - just a comment can sometimes get you clicked on). You can also try posting an advertisement-type thing to the forums (in the black market, and maybe a reply on the awesomely priced commissions thread). Or even try getting yourself added to the aforementioned list (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/fro.....leartistguild/). You need to advertise and you have no $, so these are the ideas I know of that might accomplish that.
3) I don't know how to say this nicely, so I'm just going to say it: your profile probably offends some people. Maybe tone it down a little bit? Your commissioners don't know that you don't like sex, or that you love meat (vegetarians have $ too), or what you think of their religion (religious people have $, too). I know you want to be yourself, but getting commissions is a sales job. You need to sell yourself as well as your work. And, while you certainly don't have to lie, you don't need to throw in everything that anyone could possibly object to, either. It is enough to say "I don't do anything over a PG-13 rating." Let your art speak for you, and maybe tone down the other stuff. Don't get me wrong, I support you being yourself, but it will hurt your sales, period. Some artists make a separate profile for personal and sales stuff, so that may be something to consider.
4) Yes, sex sells. Sorry, it is true. It's ok if you don't want to do yiffy art (I don't, either). But it will hurt your sales some. Then again, any limiting factor is going to hurt your sales. If you say "no dragons" or "no foxes" or "no cats," any of those will hurt sales. Doesn't mean you have to do it, just means that it will hurt you in the long run.
5) Your rules on commissions. Specifically:
a. "No fetishes" - a lot of things are considered fetishes that are still PG-13. Things like light bondage and what not. Some people may even consider two gay guys kissing to be a fetish. If you are ok with anything with a PG-13 rating, maybe just say that. If not, ignore this.
b. The rudeness thing. Some people consider that rude in and of itself. It's like pointing out when other people have bad manners, is bad manners. You don't really have to say that in there. You can just tell someone who's being rude to tone it down.
c. Some of your links are broken. That looks unprofessional. Remember, this is a sales job: if people think you flake on your own stuff, they aren't going to have confidence in your ability to do theirs.
6) You might try offering some cheap $2-5 commissions, like for icons and uncolored chibi sketches and such. This can attract people who can't afford your other prices. Also, that way you can say something like "commission prices $2-$35, click here for details" on your home page. This can get more people 'in the door.' Basically, they tell themselves 'oh, I can afford $5' and then they want an upgrade 'it's just $3 more' and then another upgrade 'oh, it's only another $2' and before you know it, you're getting $10 or $20 from someone who never would have even clicked on you if you'd advertised that price.
7) Cross-post your stuff from DA. Specifically the stuff that will appeal to people here, like the chibis.
8) Your icon is non-furry. That might reduce the number of people who click on you here. I don't know that for certain: despite my join date, I've only really been on here for about a week (although I've been selling my art IRL for many years).
Hopefully, some of that can help. I can't seem to get into my DA account, so I don't know what your profile is like there. As for me, I just found out about you, and I have already spent all my commission $ for the time being.
