yeesh! i know how you feel man...only when i got the blasted staph infection in my right forearm the fugging doctors said oh lets just let it close of the inside out!!!! ......they left the sticking hole on my arm gaping open for wound care to take care of when they booted me out the door...ohh yes when i was in the hospital however i can't say i didn't mind the dose of Dulodin every now and then it was like owwwwwwwww!!! then into the iv site annnd OHHHH YEAH!! Koolaid man style! it also knocked me out and made me sleep...i mostly actually suffered through the pain so i could have the majority of my dulodin doses at night to make me sleep. but yeah anyway just keep it covered like the docs said also for the love of god don't take any chances when cleaning it. use as much peroxide or saline etc you need to clean it! also when possible try asking the woundcare people if they have Mepilex Border bandages that fit the wound. Mepilex Border is what they used on me and is very good bandages but the insurance might gripe.

Ouch. Hopefully you'll be back to normal soon.
