Care to explain what you do on Groundhog Day( I've seen the film but is that all)?

We watch a "famous" Groundhog to see if it stays out of it's hole (home), or if it goes back in (after supposedly seeing its shadow and being scared by it), to determine whether it's going to be an early Spring.

Usually, the groundhog runs back into the hole, and we have to put up with a few more weeks of Winter. :P
