I hate grocery store fines.

These fines are getting rediculous. Today I went to Superfresh to deliver product. I brought in 8 EXTRA pieces. Everything was scanned in. The reciver says I'm over the count that I said on my paper and we go down the list. I had 8 chocolate chip cream pies extra in my tote. She blirts out "Honest Mistake". She was dead serious. And she fined me 75 dollars. This is just rediculous. How can you fine someone for bringing in EXTRA PRODUCT!? My dad and I contacted Mckee immediately after this happened to see what they can do. We're also looking into some info about wage garnishment laws in DE. Hopefully something changes.

You can be fined for that?? Wow. When i used to check in vendors products I never knew I could do that. If they were over he just took the extra back to his truck, if he was short we'd adjust the total. =/

Wow, that sounds like a completely unreasonable rule, and actually -VERY- shady. I wonder if that's even legal... I hope you nail these guys and get your money back. D:

What kind of info were you looking for about wage garnishing? I'll have to see if my mother knows anything about it. That's the plus side to having a parent in the legal system (in this case, legal secretary)...Free legal advice!

OP
My dad's company is an LLC . What normally happens with these honest mistakes is Superfresh stamps it on my bill and their copy. They send it to their company. Thier company deducts 75 dollars from the bill (basicly not paying for 75 dollars of the bill) and then Mckee (Little Debbie) recieves the bill minus 75 bucks and takes the funds directly from my dad's bank account to make up for it.
