So it's the year of the Rabbit, and one of my favorite animals. So here I was hoping I might have something done in time but either I forget that this New Year is coming up, or I am preoccupied with various other... 'Stuff'.
So since Christmas, one of my coworkers has been talking non-stop on how big this Chinese New Year is, especially back in Hong Kong where she hails from. I know I was taught some of these traditions when I was in grade school, but not to the extent that she was talking about. Apparently for those that celebrate this, this is far bigger then those whom celebrate Christmas, and it can last up to a week of celebrations. Gifts, feasts, and more... I still find it very intriguing to learn the cultures of other countries. Also apparently if you have your Birthday on a Chinese New Year, is a sign of extreme good luck, 'cause being rare and it generally can happen up to three times in a single lifetime.
Until Next Time,
Congratulations and be prosperous.
