I've come to the realization that writing some accents is pretty damn hard. At least if you're trying to be authentic.
I suppose I could just throw it together as best I can, but I'd rather it not seem cheesey, fake, or offensive.
The accents I'm currently trying to work with are an 'Engrish' sort and a Russian one.
I guess the Russian one wouldn't have to be too fantastic because the character is an American that lives in Russia for a few years, marries a Russian man, and moves back to America- but it sticks some.
The 'Engrish' one is supposed to be very comfortable with English, but just can't lose the sounds.
Anyway, I was thinking of just skirting around the Russian one by just mentioning it and maybe using a few Russian words and phrases. Either that or the words and phrases but with W becomes V and Th becomes Z. She's too American to drop things like 'a' and 'the' and so on...
Which should I do? Some don't like a visable changing in the way you read words it seems. That and not wanting to sound cheesey are what has me considering skirting around it.
As for the Engrish one I definately don't want to skip around it. I want to use it to some level of cuteness and humor... I just don't want to be offensive with it though. I guess I should just do it? I mean, I don't know what else to do there. Sugjestions?

Writing them are a pain though. Reading two similar accents can give one a headache.
I was reading a comic where banshee who is irish was on a date with a scottish girl and I just couldnt get it through my fat head.
But luckily these cases are from totally unrelated things actually, so I don't think I'll risk that.
As for the character with the Engrish accent...I have no idea, man. You're on your own. xD
XD well, I don't know if you would or wouldn't. This one will have dirty bits and I don't know how you feel about that.
And dirty bits don't bother me at all. I don't do adult art because I don't want to, not because I find it offensive.
I'll try my simple way and hope it doesn't come off crappy... of course, keep in mind it's not supposed to be a great accent anyway really, more like American dipped in Russian dipped back in American.
But if it just seems godawful then I'll edit it to normal and just go with the other option of skirting around it.
