Need Help With Shopping For Sex Toys

Me and my gf are wanting to go to a sex shop and see about finding a few toys (strapons, mostly). I have one problem... I know nothing about size and what I can or can't handle. I've been looking online lately to familarize myself with a few things, but I;m still scared and don't know much in my opinion... I would really appreciate some advice.

we're mainly looking for a strap on. But I'm not sure if we want to get a double sided (I think thats what its called.. the one for vaginal stimulation and the dildo) or just a regular one with jus the harness and dildo..
