HOORAY I CAN SEE

Alright, so, I'm still kinda vertigooey and looking at the computer screen is a bit unpleasant, but the surgery is done as of two days ago and my eye's behaving pretty well.
Okay, so... what do I talk about first? It's really not that much of an epic story since I was waiting a whole lot longer than I was actually in surgery. I wore one of those silly gowns and everything and got to read horribly outdated TIME magazines. After a while I got really hungry, but I was barred from eating as of 2AM that morning so that was to be expected.
The one thing I really want to say from this little experience is that ANAESTHESIA IS AWESOME. It probably would have had a different affect on me if my operation were more... serious and less of a half-hour procedure adjusting an eye muscle, but coming out of an anaesthesia-induced sleep feels strange and extremely pleasant. TV portrayals are a wee inaccurate in the sense that, like falling asleep, you can never really pinpoint exactly when you go out - it's sometime after the sleepydoctor tells you that you're going to feel something cold go into your vein. And then when I woke up it was like transitioning from a dream to being awake without the... physical sensation of actually waking up... or something. Am I rambling too much about this? :C
After that I spent most of my time being asleep (though I could get up and walk just fine shortyl after waking up). My eye was a little bleedy and welded itself shut with eye goop several times, which I really didnt mind since having it open was really uncomfortable for a while. I somehow managed to toss an e-mail to my adorable Russian professor - honestly, I'm not entirely sure how I managed that. XD I was holding a cold rag over my eye and typing with one hand and only looking at the computer enough to check my spelling and click buttons. Looking at the computer was like a bad acid trip so I stayed away from it. XD
This morning I willingly opened my eye and it's been getting progressively better, and I think I can safely say that my doublevision will be completely gone after it readjusts and learns to behave.

Anyway I'm rly glad to hear it went well. :D Too bad there wasn't any eyepatchage. That would've been hot.
I miss you. I want to tell you about this stupid dream I had the other night and you were in it. It involved making out, the Beatles, Sylar, and some WoW dwarves riding epic rams around in a tavern or something.
...
Yeah, I really don't know what the fuck.
GET BETTER SOON K. <3
CAN'T WAIT FOR SEASON 2 BTW IT'S IN TWO DAYS AND I GET TO WATCH IT BEFORE YOU HAHAHAHAHAHA <o/ EP TITLE IS "FOUR MONTHS LATER" ACCORDING TO NBC.COM SCHEDULING
I'm doing a lot better now than I was when I posted that journal. Tiny font on computer screens is tolerable again!
It was all "delicious tiny croutons with parmesan cheese and red peppers".
I can't stop laughing atm because I'm on my granpa's pc and there's this post-it note on the side of the monitor that says "MY PASSWORD IS: FWGATS" and then there's a badly photoshopped picture of a floating Grandma's head plastered to the cabinet and it says "My Love" in generic font beneath it.
My grandpa's so cute. He's building a "remote viewer" in the basement with tesla coils and a ring of quartz crystals :D
He went to Mercury, he says.
and ate a tasty ham sandwich behind a rock
YOU DID NOT TELL ME ABOUT THE REMOTE VIEWER. :c
