The Many beasts
Two arms, two legs, two ears, two eyes.
Toes and fingers ten at a time.
And just one heart,
These all are mine.
Is that enough?
Is that too little?
The many beasts say so
They want more they yearn to add
Add on to the set they had.
More to add onto their own
And suddenly I feel alone
Alone because the many beasts
and all the extras that they seek
Their heart is left on its own
Their mind is not left out of sync
They make a perfect set with more
they're suddenly distinct.
One man can do so little now
but two can do much more
and yet for all their pleasures
it's the many beasts that I abore
Their absolute duality
that they come in matching sets
I envy, hate, disgust, and loath
but now I must digress
The happiness of many beasts
I should not really deny
So constantly I wonder now
why wrath I do apply
They are no different now than then
The time when they were one
So many beasts I ask just this
while you enjoy your life
please think of like times before
this little thing I do implore
for loneliness I cannot bare,
betrayal even less
and though I know the reason
does not mean I'll pass the test
Toes and fingers ten at a time.
And just one heart,
These all are mine.
Is that enough?
Is that too little?
The many beasts say so
They want more they yearn to add
Add on to the set they had.
More to add onto their own
And suddenly I feel alone
Alone because the many beasts

When I first read your title, I thought it said "The many breasts" XD

Hmmm. I must wonder, though, what would you have us do? Is the fault ours for showing our happiness to those who don't have it? Or is the problem deeper down inside yourself?

OP
I wonder, sometimes. Is a problem ever truely so one-sided. *shrugs* Though sometimes the problem is on one end more than others, there's usually one reason or another that it exists at all which occours from both sides of the issue.

That's the cruel part of love. It comes when you least expect it, and usually only once you've grown used to being alone.
