Since picking up "The Long Patrol", I have made sure to read all of his books as soon as I could find one. He has been one of my favorite authors, and a large inspiration in artwork. Hearing the news of his death is a big blow to me, but the legacy he leaves behind will always be a brightness on those long deployments. Fair winds and following seas Brian Jacques

the red wall series and the castaways of the flying dutchman trillagy were my all time favorite books but this is the first Ive heard of his passing may his soul rest in peace
