Free Art Raffle?

What do you guys think? I was thinking about doing an art raffle like...one a month or something. Giving you guys numbers and then using a random number generator to pick the winner! All the requirements are that you have to be watching me.

If I do this, what kind of quality should the image be? Sketch, Line, flat, cell shade, full color?

And should I do the same with Commissions? But 1-3 winners? Or is that stupid? lol.

Personally one a month sounds good. That's only 12 times a year.
And as for what quality, I would at least say flat color, that way it's a good midpoint between full quility, and minimal quality.

A raffle sounds like a really fun idea. How often you do one is your call but I'd say do a flat color at most. You don't want to give away too much for nothing unless you're feeling generous. =3

Oh, that would be amazing! Flat colors would be great, since they're good quality, but not too simple.

I'd say one a month flat color, a good balance of quantity and quality.

Sounds good. And I suggest flat colors, since full color and cel shading is a bit much for this kind of thing.

I think a raffle is a fair way to do it for commissions, sure. gives more people a chance to get in on it, rather than locking people out because of timezone differences or being busy when the journal is posted.

Well,heres a thought. By reading all these comments,I thought of something that might be nice. Multiple pictures. Like, say, depending on how many people actually JOIN, 1st place could be flat colors, 2nd could be line, and 3rd could be a sketch. Maybe,if theres alot of people,have a couple people win rd place,or something. I dunno,i'm throwing out ideas.

I would've done that a year ago when people didn't really like my work all that much but nowadays I seem to put much more time into pics. Bottom line, easier said than done x3. I think just giving away one free pic a month is more than enough. But I understand where you're coming from =].

If it's free, its alright for a raffle. If its for comissions though, people may feel this is unfair because what if a person loses 30 times to get a commission from you? See? :3

It's also unfair to do first-come, first-serve though because the people who're off timezones or working at the time or having a life will always lose out to the people sitting and watching their journal lists.
