Felt the need to say something

I'm not really sure all whats going on but apparently the Government is going to cut funding to both Public Broadcasting and to Planned Parenthood. I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I have contacted my congressman about stopping these bills.
I personally have used or helped people use these services to us, so its kind of a big deal. I encourage all of you that feel the same way that I do to voice you opinion and let them know that we still need these types of things funded. (but please be professional about it)

Ah, it's always interesting to see people who vote suddenly realize that they can't have low taxes, lower deficits and lots of government services at the same time.

And who needs basic things like running water, elementary schools, and freedom from brutal religious tyranny for Afghanistan when we can get first-class social services for Americans like us?

Wow, you really don't follow anything in Afghanistan do you? And frankly, protecting people from religious tyranny and allowing them to go to school keeps them from flying planes into buildings. That is worth a high tuition. Besides, many people in my family don't finish college and they're fine.

Oh and tuitions are raised by the states, not the federal government. And if you don't like to pay rich oil kings, try moving closer to work and school and ride a bike or carpool.

Public Broadcasting can take a cut, honestly. But Planned Parenthood really needs a boost..
