K, not sure what version you got. I'm running 1.5 There should be the word "render" along the top. Click it once. it opens a list, render and render settings. click render settings. That opens a new box. there should be a smaller box at the bottom called "render to" click the words "image file". there should be a text box with a button that reads "..." along side it. Clicking on the "..." button, it should open a new window that alows to to decide where to save to. you can save as any image file (use .tif or .jpg myself. Depending on how much post work I wanna do after rendering) You can save the image file anywhere you want. Myself made a new file called my3d to save images to.
