If you're looking for philosophy with your economics, might I recommend Michael Shermer's The Mind and the Market, a book he wrote for his conservative friends to show them how evolution isn't evil and wrong, and to show his liberal friend that free market capitalism isn't evil or wrong; that the two principles are basically the same.

He also writes rather well, I think: quick, to the point, with a little humor.

That was great, and twice as intelligent as I thought the Question & Answers were going to be. I am curious on your thoughts on this whole resource based economy craze going around (but I'll see if you do another recorded Q&A before actually submitting that question).

Thank you Jay. You told it like it is, gave a lot of great opinions, and heck, even near the end there you kept giving great pieces of advice I picked up on. I've focused so much on creating the characters of mine that I've neglected their backgrounds for some time. That's why I hope to come up with a story for all of them very soon. Plus, even though I don't like the constant work of some of the stuff, I like to draw, I like to create stories, and just like you said, I'm going to try my best to keep doing what I like.

So thank you for such inspirational words and advice, and I hope maybe sooner or later you could do this again sometime.

Read "The Fountainhead" this summer. While I don't totally agree with Ayn Rand's beliefs, it is by far my favorite book.

D'aw, I missed out on the chance to ask a question because I wasn't checking FA for a few days. I'm an Objectivist, and when people challenge my beliefs, I often doubt myself. I was going to ask you if you've ever dealt with that, and how. (For example, I sometimes engage in defense of the free market, and someone will cite some "fact" that appears to contradict my beliefs, and suddenly I won't be as confident in what I think anymore.)

It answered quite a few of the questions that I'd been thinking about, and I was going to E-Mail you to see if you could answer some of them. there isn't any need to do that now. I heard the second one, and part of the first one that you did, and I'm looking forward to hearing more of these.
