O, hay - roadtrip.

MFF. November. Chicago.
Methinks it's going to be cold. But I've never been that far north, and the only Con I've been to was MFM here in Memphis this year, so I am going to MFF!! :D
I'm saving up for the trip, I'm already preregistered! Though, the trip will be a bit tricky. >_> That's a lot of gas money, it'd be cheaper to just get on the Greyhound bus. I've done it before, though, last time I rode the greyhound, I got to sit next to the biggest stereotype ever... I'll tell you if you're interested. :F
Also, having never driven out of state, this makes me nervous. >8[
Anyway, I plan on stopping somewhere half way, though, so I'd have to take a bus to THAT location instead of all the way to Chicago. :/ Which would mean I'd have to hope there is like... room in said person's car for me to just give them gas money for a ride, or I'd take another bus later, and continue on with Greyhound. D;
*shakes the innernet* Give me helpful advice, plz. >8[

If you book way in advance flying is even cheaper than the bus in any case. Also on the rental cars... there are all sorts of coupons out there and weekend specials. Pay for the extra insurance so there are no worries there. Some places even have GPS systems now so you won't get lost.
Trust me... the extra $200 you will pay is worth not having the headaches later when you are trying to enjoy yourself.
I took a bus trip once... way back when it was $50 one way anywhere in the USA - took me two and a half days to get there... steriotypes in abundance - slept in the bus station... packedmy own food... and all for what... I saved $20.

And yuh, I'll definitely look into flying, I've never flown before, though. D:
And trade it for car money. <8]
That just may work.
That's all young people ever do! >:}
It is not safe to talk with children present. >8[
SCOUNDRELS.
