What inspired you to create the comic and the cast of "Apollo 9" and "Coon"?

Apollo 9 was inspired by Adam Ant's song by the same name, and also from the movie Down Periscope.

Coons is a side comic to Buddies in Big Places http://www.bibp.com/ . The characters belong to  sethtriggs with some influence from me in fleshing them out. He graciously allowed me to borrow his characters for the story.

That's pretty awesome.

1. Of all the comics that you have done, who are your top 5 favorite characters?

2. How long does it take you to make a comic once you have an idea in your head?

1. I would have to say Syz, Pepper, Matt, Alli, Zinngali.

2. Depends on how involved I make it, but it is usually around 3 hours. A very involved colored page can take 10 hours.

1. if you could sleep with anyone of the characters from your comics, who would it be and why?

2. What inspires you to work on furry art or any art in general?

1. Oh man. Hmmm. I think I'd probably pick Matt. Sharp wit and intelligence is a turn on.

2. Usually looking at other people's art or stories. I get inspired to challenge myself with a new techniques.

Does Cirini only think of me as a creepy sorta-friend she's never actually met or heard of, and if so, what kind of pie?

1) how did you become interested in the furry fandom and why have a chakat for a fursona?

2) Is apollo 9 on hiatus? or is there something in the works?

1.) I was invited by a couple of friends way back in 2004 to submit some of my art for their Dealer's Den table at Conifur. I've always drawn anthropomorphic animals, but I had never heard of furry. When they told me what it was, I said, "They actually have a whole fandom for this?" I thought that was pretty cracked, but hey, O.K. I dug through a bunch of my old art and put it out.

We didn't do very well, but I sold one piece. I thought, "Oh my god, somebody actually liked my artwork!" From then on, I got inspired and decided to buckle down and really start improving my artwork.

I learned about the chakats through a MUCK called Furscape. I thought they were really cool and looked into them more. My chakats aren't actually aren't my fursonas though...My regular bidedal cougar Longtail is my fursona.

2.) I'm not sure. I've been forced to put it into premature retirement, and I don't like it. I don't want to stop doing that comic, honestly. I miss it. I'm very frustrated with the lack of ideas for it. I'd pull it out if I had story ideas. If one comes up, then I plan to pull it out now and again for a one shot. In the meantime...meh.

3.) I wish I could. Unfortunately I am going to be swamped with schoolwork, and then I have to get busy with job hunting and establishing myself in a new career.

4.) Everything is at a stop for the time being. I still owe work to people who are being wonderfully patient with me while I'm being forced to focus my time on catching up on my schoolwork after dealing with healing from my concussion.

2004? Really? *counts* I found out about the fandom around Feb.-Mar. 2004 and joined the Chakat Yahoo group shortly thereafter. Leonardo (the Italian, not the Ninja Turtle) linked your work therein and I squee'd. I would have figured you for having an earlier history than that.

My question is, why is Alli so adorable?

Of all the possible items to make sentient in A9, why duckies? Amusing choice (certainly made ME laugh) but what brought the idea to your mind? :)

I wanted to do a story that showed off Zooey's personality off a bit more. I needed something appropriate between the child-like sweetness and the "Holy %$#@! this bat is SCARY" aspects of hir. Also, I needed something silly that just lended itself well to making jokes out of.

Well, I think you hit THAT metaphorical nail right on the head! Besides, who could fail to love a character that loads a PLASMA CANNON into her bath toys? :D

Exactly. I will say shi is not a hermaphrodite. :)

Then again, there are more than 2 genders (or 3 if you count hermaphroditism as a separate gender) in this universe....

Hehehe, well, pointing to Howard Taylor's work as an example, you're definitely right there!

And I think I would, it's unique enough to merit it's own, especially in a lot of the species it occurs in.
