PSP Owners (2000/3000)

Ever thought to yourself; Gee I'd love to hook my PSP up to my TV instead of screwing my neck up religiously, but Sony are too lame to maintain production of the proprietary cable, which is crap anyway?
Despair not. HIVE, a third party company, who I've little if anything of before, have their own component cable out for the PSP (2000/3000 only). It's called a HIVE Component AV Cable (for PSP), which of course uses the YPBPR connections of your TV.
I'm not about to claim it's perfect, because it isnt. The cable can't bypass the PSP's hardware enforced scaling (a CFW may be able to get around this), which limits the amount of the screen the display can actually use when running a game, but depending on the size of your TV, it's still a hell of a lot bigger and more conveniently aligned than the PSP screen.
I don't think I've ever made a product endorsement in my journal, but this is one of those rare moments where something I've picked up made me happy enough to actually mention it. Having chronic neck and back problems, and loving my PSP, were a horrible combination - that problem is now rectified.
A word of warning, though. Do not grab one thinking it will magically make the games look better - it wont. It will just make the display bigger, which more often than not exposes that the graphics on the PSP only look so good because the screen is small in the first place. That said, I've been playing Dissidia and Peacewalker through it since yesterday and I'm pretty satisfied with the results, though it does, curiously, seem to cause the menu to lag slightly in Dissidia (but not in gameplay).
PS: Peacewalker is easily one of the best Metal Gear (period) games so far. If you haven't tried it, do so, assuming you have the means anyway, it's worth it. How good is it? Metal Gear 3D: Snake Eater, a port of Snake Eater (MGS3) for the 3DS, is being built using the Peacewalker engine (which is itsself an upgraded version of the MGS3 engine). And I've sunk 50 hours into it so far, without getting bored with it. Your mileage may vary.
PSS: D012 (the Dissidia prequel for the unenlightened) looms ever so close. I can taste the impending awesome...
In the meantime, MG3D Snake Eater is shaping up to be excellent. Nothing has been cut from the original MGS3, only added and improved, so that's definetely going to be pretty a pretty solid MGS when it comes out. It's also an experiment; if it works (sells well enough, fan reaction is strong enough), it will only be the first MG3D for the 3DS, with the possibility of other previous games being redone in its style (here's hoping for MGS1, NOT Twin Snakes..god that remake was painful ;;)
