Earthquake in japan D: Very scared,

I am very frightened. I hope that everone I know in japan is ok!
I have an Ex boyfriend who used to live in Japan, I dont know if his parents still live there, but if I do I hope they are ok!
I am very afraid of earthquakes, and this might just be my paranoia about them, but does it seem that there are more huge earthquakes lately?
There was the one in Haiti last year, and now in Japan, and I know there were others too...
I am just very scared right now, and I know that there is a huge fault line in California that is supposed to have a major earthquake soon, and I am right above california (in Oregon) so I am getting more and more afraid.
