Is Karabiner, a long time Japanese Furry artist best known for his adult 2D Digimon pictures (and more recently 3d models), dead?

The above link was pointed out to me and suggests that Karabiner may have gotten sick or injured and may have passed away.
While I do not agree with the majority of his content, I cannot help but respect his talent in 2D and the speed he learned to do 3D art in. Can anyone confirm for the above site the status of this artist?

When I was browsing his forum years ago I remember that he doesn't speak English and hates trying to use translators. I believe he only knew one person who spoke English.
I hope for the best though.
