Now that I'm unpacked from FC I'm going to try and finish the one piece that is painfully missing from the hawk costume... the tailfan!
Not sure how long it will take; I'm still struggling with the basics of costume work, and I need to figure out how to make the tailfeathers splay properly... Sadly, humans don't have a proper pygostyle for this! ;>

Then perhaps somehow run rope/cord to the wings so the tailfan will splay convincingly when the wings are spread... this might be a bit tricky, and will require some playing around with ropes and how to conceal them. Any suggestions? ;>
And on a random note, I love your crafty room. <3 I would kill for that kind of space to use for craftings.
It's a quickie partial costume I made from department store items, complete with hooves, mane and tail. I've worn it a few times to the monthly FurFrolic dance here in town: http://gyrhawk.livejournal.com/6654.html

Oh, hooves too? :) And you're telling me. :) Rowan just carried it around and let humans do the picture taking. ;)
