The story behind my comissions

Introduction
At this point, I've bought a fair deal of incredibly beautifull comissions, drawn by talented artists. And to be honest, I feel pretty satisfied and accomplished with how this has helped me with successfully developing my fursona. As most people probably already know, my goal has always been to make my fursona ressemble the real me as much as possibly, and have him adopt as much as he can from the real me. And after having had my close and loved friend Zorro draw a breath-takingly amazing comission for me, I actually feel my goal has finally been achieved. Its simply perfect! My fursona simply has "ME" written all over it. He and I share the same long hair and bodily anatomy. And I dare say that it should be visible to everyone now that he has adopted my feminine and tribal soul. For the first time ever, I finally feel 100% secure with saying that my fursona is absolutely the canine version of the real me. And he represents everything that I am, from inside and out. But it sure has been a long journey, for me to come to this point. And along the way, I have been asked many questions about the comissions I bought. Many seems to wonder about the details behind my fursona and the contents in my comissions. So I thought to myself, why not write a journal in which I explain the reasons behind every comission so far? I will be going into detail about every picture I have bought, informing you about why I bought it, and why I asked the artists to make it the way it is. So if you're curious about anything related to my comissions, then you can get the questions answered here. I will list the pictures by title, so if you don't recognize the names, check them out in my gallery. Lets get started.
"Sinqularis and the waterfall"
Arh yes. This is actually the very first comission I ever bought. And on top of that, its also the first time that my fursona has been drawn after my own describtion. Before this comission was made, I did what most other furries do, which was borrowing other people's characters if they looked somewhat similar with how I imagined my own fursona to be. It was a temporary solution, but not even close to being satisfactory. Thanks to the incredibly digital artist
, my true fursona was born with this beautifull comission, and was ready for the last steps of his developement. But since this was the first time for my fursona to make a glorious appearence, I wanted it to be really special. So I asked DarkGoose to place me in an enchanting tropical environment, washing my nearly naked body under a beautifull waterfall. With my entire body heavily moisturized, and my greatly revealing loincloth, many might say that it became a rather teasing and erotic picture. And thats exactly how I wanted it. What you see in that picture, is a free spirit, who finds his home in the raw and exotic wilderness. Something that greatly stimulates my tribal soul. And even from the first day, my fursona has been surrounded by a powerful feminine aura. There's even been a couple of people that thought he was a female, the first time they observed him in this picture, until they noticed his lacking breasts. This comission was by no doubt an incredibly successful start of my fursonas journey towards finishing his developement, and becoming one with the real me.
"The spirit within"
Later on, I bought this epic comission from the same artist as first time, with the intention of having my fursona developed even further. There were more important things that I wanted him to adopt from the real me. With my tribal mind, I consider myself a noble spiritual shaman. And believe it or not, I do possess rather unusual abilities that are related to spirituality. This is something from the real me, that I with this comission have passed to my fursona. He is now just like the real me, a proud spirital shaman, blessed with spiritual powers and abilities. But as you probably can imagine, the spiritual abilities I possess are not quite as flashy and visible, as the spiritual abilities that my fursona is showing off in this comission. Since my fursona does exist in the world of fantasy, I asked the artist to draw my fursonas spiritual powers in a more fantasy-related manner, which is somewhat more interesting to look at. On top of that, this also became the first comission to reveal that I have a very feminine weak spot for shiny gems. Especially amethysts, like the one shown in the picture. Some people think that the amulet is magical or enchanted. But to be honest, its not. It's just a plain and simple amulet with a giant amethyst attached to it. But I am channeling my spiritual energies, and reflecting it through the gemstone. What you see is nothing more than me displaying my powers, so everyone who watches will know that I am a spiritual shaman. And to complete the epicness effectively, I asked DarkGoose to draw me standing on the top of a small cliff, with a beautifull sleeping landscape in the background. My beloved forrested home, embraced by tall barriers of mountains in the distance. This symbolizes me standing as a guardian, of the raw but untainted wilderness that I consider my home.
"Soulmates"
This comission honestly didn't provide much to the developement of my fursona, but I still love it to no end, because it has a very personal value to me. You see, this was actually a gift that I bought from DarkGoose, for my beloved Soulmates birthday. And to clear any misunderstandings that I -know- will occur, there's a very clear difference between a mate and a soulmate. She's my Soulmate - NOT mate. Anyway, my soulmate is
, an incredibly sweet and gorgeous girl from England. Possibly the most warmhearted girl I know, and we're extremely close. And she told me in good time that she was gonna become 20 years old last in September. After having been informed about this, I was overwhelmed by a powerful desire to get her something really special, for her birthday. So I secretly contacted DarkGoose without her knowing, and asked him to sell me a comission for her. This was the very first time, that my soulmate had her own fursona drawn. And let me tell you, my heart will -never- forget the day where I showed this comission to her. My eyes literally shed tears of joy, when I saw how incredibly happy she became. It was very clear that she didn't expect it at all, and she pretty much pounced me to the floor and showered me with affection for it. That was one heck of a good day! In this comission, you see my soulmate and I, embracing eachother. We are both beautifully naked in the forrest, with the rain from above soaking the fur on our bodies. I wanted this to be a sugarsweet and romantic picture, that could forever seal the eternal love that we share together. I truly felt like giving DarkGoose one big wet kiss for putting so much heart into this comission for me... it just doesn't get better than that.
"Tribal wars"
And we progress once again, with another comission from the amazing artist DarkGoose, intended to improve my fursona's developement even further. And on top of this, we have a whole new face appearing in this one. This is probably one of the most exciting comissions I've bought, since it presents a scene of combat. And it sure got a lot of attention as well, when it was submitted. In this picture, something is revealed about me, that seems to confuse a lot of people. As you already know from the previous picture we spoke about, I am a spiritual shaman. And as you can see, I am wielding a staff in "Tribal wars". But here is the part that seems to confuse a lot - I do not use it to conjure fireballs, bolts of lightning or whatever other crazy things people think. I use it in melee to deliver powerful blunt attacks. People probably get all these ideas from the computer gaming world, inspired by mages and warlocks, or whatever. But after having observed so many spell-casters use the staffs to conjure magic, they seem to have forgotten how effective the staff actually is as a weapon in melee, when wielded by someone who knows how to use it properly. It offers great and powerful blows, and the shaft can successfully block incoming attacks. It has always been my weapon of choice, so of course, my fursona wouldn't head into combat without it. With this comission, I am slowly starting to form my tribe, gathering the most important people in my life. And with this picture, it was officially sealed that my beloved soulmate is part of my tribe. The same goes for Zephyr, the new face that has stepped into my comissions. When this comission was drawn, I think there were many that thought, "Who the heck is Zephyr? Where'd he come from?" And you know what? Thats a very good question.
Zephyr is actually a mysterious character, that has been designed in my mind ages ago. I knew pretty much everything about him when I bought this comission, so it was very easy to describe him for DarkGoose. Even his name was decided in advance. But despite how long he has just been a fragment of my mind, this was the day where I finally felt ready to have a talented artist bring him to life. So to speak. And that is something I have always wanted to see happen. The pink wolf you all know so well will always be my fursona, because he is designed to ressemble the real me. So Zephyr is technically just a second character owned by me, and it does happen that I use him for roleplaying purposes. But its not like he doesn't have any connection with the real me at all. He symbolizes my inner strenght, courage, loyalty and protective personality. On top of this, he also reveals the fact that I have a soft spot for anthro bats. Despite he is owned by myself, I chose to make him a member of my tribe. And people will recognize him as a strong, powerful and proud member of my tribe, who will always watch over his shaman. Which is me. That would explain why Zephyr has been designed to be so incredibly masculine, which is completely opposite to my fursona and the real me. For some odd reason, I feel really secure, when I think of having that large beautifull bat watching over me. Always standing ready to protect me if danger threatens me. I honestly don't understand this need very well, and some of you might think I'm slightly crazy for having a character protect me that I designed myself. But there are parts of my mind that are so complicated that even I am puzzled by it. Thats all I can say, really. Nevertheless, Zephyr is now a part of my tribe, and he has deffinetly come to stay. I love that wonderful bat, and damn, he sure has become popular!
If we direct our attention back to the picture itself, then I don't think there's that much more information to provide. My main goal with buying this comission, was to start forming my tribe, and place us in a dangerous situation where the watchers could clearly sense that we stand closely together as a tribe. As enemies surround us within the ruined forrest temple, we all stand side by side, ready to protect eachother with our lives. We don't fight to survive as an individual, but to survive as a tribe. This picture is meant to capture a moment of honour where brave hearts unite, revealing an indestructive bond of loyalty, that is nearly forgotten nowadays. A pure jewel from the past that I greatly desire to experience shine in the present as well. The enemies we face are no one in particular, so I guess that is left up to everyone's imagination to decide.
"Watching over Gaia"
Perceptive people might've noticed at this point, that with every comission we explore the background of, the more deep it gets. And with this comission that also was created by our beloved DarkGoose, I wanted to reveal something that I only speak very rarely about in the open. As people probably know, I am not attached to any religion. In fact, I greatly distance myself from certain religions, especially Christianity. And yet, I am an incredibly devoted worshipper of Gaia. I even go as far as considering myself a Guardian of Gaia. To those who don't know, "Gaia" is an ancient name of our very own beloved planet. And I belong to an old forgotten group, that consider the planet itself as the great creator of all and everything, which is why I'd sacrifice my life with no hesitation to protect what keeps our planet alive. More specifically, I seek to protect nature and wildlife, in hopes of preserving the planets natural balance and sources of life energy. What you see in this picture, is me and Zephyr standing in top of a tall tree, watching over the enchanted forrest at night. This symbolizes the deep passion I feel about protecting the planet from everything and anyone that wishes to harm it, or drain it for it's limited supply of resources. And of course, this picture wouldn't be perfect, unless Zephyr was there with me. Because even though he is just a second character that I own, he is still a part of me, and represents important things about the real me. And yet, since we are standing in the top of a tall tree, I thought it'd be a bit inconvenient to bring a staff with me to this location. So in this picture, you'll see me wield my second choice of weapon, which is a dagger. Yet another weapon that people tend to underestimate greatly. It has short reach and can only cause minimal damage. But it is light and swift, providing any agile person with freedom to evade attacks, and break through the defense of a slower opponent before he has the chance to attack himself. In this picture, I am only holding one dagger. But honestly, I am just as interested in dual-wielding two daggers, opening up for a whole new strategic figting style.
"Reunion in the forrest"
Here we have the latest comission I bought, which ended up being the first comission I bought from an artist that wasen't DarkGoose. This unbelievably enchanting and beautifull comission was drawn by my close friend
, who is now a loved member of my tribe as well. This picture was bought for many reasons. One being that I wanted to complete my tribe by inviting a couple more of the most important people in my life to join. The new faces you see in this comission is
my spiritual brother, and my two incredibly close friends
and
. And as mentioned before, Zorro is the artist who created this masterpiece. Another reason for buying this comission, was that I really wanted to see my entire tribe gathered in the same picture, to have our eternal bond sealed. It is truly the great reunion that my heart has been waiting for this whole time. And to those who haven't realized it yet or figured it out, I've attempted to organize our tribe so it is properly balanced, combat-wise. We're each equipped with different types of weapons, and each person has his own strenghts and weaknesses. By standing together, we use our own strenght to cover the weakness of the others, while the others use their strenghts to cover our own weaknesses. And each member of the tribe has his own status or specialization. Like this...
- I am the wise spiritual shaman, the staff-wielding mystic person in the group.
- Cleopatra, my soulmate, is the dexterous huntress armed with bow and arrow.
- Riesin is the agile and evasive fighter, effecient with any light weapons.
- Zorro is the swift and accurate ranger, equipped with knives for throwing.
- Stryfe is the powerful mauler, relying on breaking others defense instead of caring about his own.
- Zephyr is the defensive protecter, who'd rather guard his tribe, than rush into reckless combat.
Alone we may be fragile, but together we are strong. That is the one message that I wish to highlight with this whole organizing thing. Of course, none of us head into battle for real. But the combat-related things I speak of is a reflection upon how we handle our internal friendships as a tribe. We take care of eachother, support eachother and love eachother. And the members of our tribe are greatly connected by a bond of loyalty. There is no chieftain or leader of my tribe. We are all equals to eachother, and have full right to think and act as individuals. As a final note, let me mention this - Yes, the staff I wield in this picture does look a lot like what you recognize from whichever computer games you play. But again, it is just a wooden staff with a large beautifull orb on top. The staff does not have any magical abilities. This staff is only designed for decorative purposes, and to illuminate my status as a spiritual shaman in the tribe. Nothing more. So if you're looking for fireballs and lightning bolts, then I'm afraid you must look somewhere else. I'm just a humble tribal spiritual shaman, not Gandalf the Pink!
And that concludes the very long story behind my comissions. If any question is still left unanswered, feel free to ask me in a note
