Apparently if you get behind over a month on SL they cancel your account. Not put it on hold, cancel it outright.
So much for all those custom AVs, signs and buildings. At least I still have the texture files. For all the good that will do me.

That's new. I've gone more than a month without using SL before and never lost my stuff.
Did they tell you that, or what? That's too bizzare.
Though, it's a whole different company anymore.
They did send me a letter, but some short circuit in my head made me remember 'cancel' as 'suspend.'
The worst thing? Losing Cinderella's Castle and the airships...
I'm really sorry to hear it though. I hope it doesn't sour you on SL for ever.

Your char is still in my friends list and your profile is still there, so they should still have your info in the system.
Tip: If you think you want to cancel your account, you may wish to consider leaving your account active with a Basic membership. Basic memberships are free, and they never expire! This way, if you choose to revisit Second Life, your avatar and your inventory will be here waiting for you.
This is just bugging the heck out of me. Did you have a paid account and not pay?
