That is something I never understood about many dentists and oral surgeons.

"That needs to be taken care of ASAP, or it'll get worse, or infected and cause many more problems. Oh, you want us to take care of it now? Do you just happen to have over $1000 on you right this moment? Oh, then you'll have to wait till you save up that much cause we don't do payment plans."

Ok, it's vital it comes out NOW, but because you don't have the funds, it's ok to wait. Despite the fact it's in danger of becoming more troublesome as time goes on; oh yeah, not to mention all the extreme pain you're going through.
My friend recently went through this with his wisdom teeth. They told him how badly they needed to come out, and didn't understand why he was waiting. Just like they didn't understand how a part time grocery clerk doesn't have 1000+ dollars on hand. :P

Sorry for the rant. What you posted about their response to your pain and suffering just hit a nerve.
Let me check my funds after bills are fully paid, I'll see what I can do.

Seriously, if I had the big big money, I'd start an insurance group specifically for dental work, that would cover everything from cleaning to full dental repair, regardless of it's purpose.
Hell, I'd even have it cover cosmetic dental work, within reason.

Yeah - it's like they forget that the rest of the world doesn't make as much as they do. Before anyone gets on my case about the cost of dental school and how I don't have a right to make that comment - I am well aware of the costs of dental school. Granted, I'm very grateful that he looked at the tooth, however, you are right - If the need is there - why not accept payment plans? I'd be MORE than happy paying a small amount, entering into a contract to pay said amount, over the course of a year.

Yes I have, with so-so results. This dentist is by far the nicest one I have been to. When I checked a few of the low cost ones around here, I either got one of three responses: a similar one to the low-income clinic because we're below the poverty level (IE: Oh, you don't have money? Well, we could extract for a low price, but I doubt you could afford a root canal.) or "Oh, we can't look at your teeth unless we clean them first." - this one frustrated me because as is, the 'cleaning' is, in my opinion, just another attempt to squeeze more money out.

When I checked the dental school, they can't see me until like, June.

@.@ So freaking annoying. I am so getting dental and health insurance as soon as I get a steady job.

A read about your plight from  jorge-the-wolfdog and while they may not have a payment plan, you should see if they will take the CareCredit card. Basically, it is payid up front and then you have x amount of months to pay it back at interest free. That is how we paid for my mate's root canal and such. Just a (hopefully) helpful tip!

I will have to look into this. I am a bit hesitant to get a credit card, just because I myself am not employed, and would have no way to make the payments unless I was able to come into a large sum of money, or had very frequent commissioners.

Ideally I would like to see how much I can raise before doing this, I assume the payments would be less depending on how much you needed to use from the card. Thank you though! I will keep this in mind. *goes to research*

Ah! Not a problem...thankfully it is only a card you can use for medical things, so there is no temptation to go and use it on other things. Good luck though!

Yep, my TOS/prices apply here. I haven't had much practice with bondage art being I've not had much of a call for it, but I am always willing to give it a try! If you have references as to what you'd like that'd make the process a lot easier. :D

Also, I must add, I won't be able to work on the art until after I get this tooth taken care of. I can't focus on the art, and here lately anything I've tried to draw has turned out crap. This pain makes it impossible to put anything of quality out. D:
