London - Day 1
So here I am in London, England, after an eight hour flight and three in flight movies.
One thing I will say for Air Canada, they sure have stepped up the in flight entertainment. On my flight, I was able to watch Black Swan, Burlesque, and The Last Airbender (I'd been awake 40 hour st this point, shush on my selections).
I would highly reccomend Black Swan and Burlesque, Airbender was kind of meh for me. I'd seen the anime, at least a chunk of it, so I asn't going in blind. M Night Shaymalan should maybe stop making movies though...
I didn't manage to catch much sleep on the plane due to having an aisle seat and being bumped by everyone who wandered past my seat (a lot, actually) but the flight wasn't too bad. We ended up arriving an hour earlier than forecast, which was pretty awesome.
Took a quick train trip from Heathrow to Paddington station (and yes, many bear related jokes were made). Our hotel was about a stone's throw from there, so we wandered over and got settled in.
I slept about four hours while my husband wandered a bit, and when I woke up, we went for a two hour walk through Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens (the two are connected). In this short time, I took about fifty pictures, though I can't decide whether to upload them to FA, as they're presently uploading to my Facebook account.
Anyways, Day 1 was pretty entertaining and relaxed, tomorrow we're hitting Madame Tussaud's and the Sherlock Holmes museum, among other things. I shall try to do another update once I have the time.
Later, all!
