My personal top 5 worst video games ever made

Since i talked once about my top five games, its only rational to talk about the five games i deem to be worst ever made. Just as warning, do not take this personaly, since its my view of the games and things they were lacking. So, lets move on, to...
1. God of War 1&2 - Usualy, people who played this game give me that awkward look when i rant about this one, since its widely considered to be best of the best on ps2. Aside its the only game that frustrated me so much i broke my controller (altho, it was broken anyways for abusing the O button) for the first and onl time in my life, the gameplay was quite mediocre and frustrating to the bone. I know, everyone needs the challenge, but i think GoW just overdid it - turning the wheel to bring the elevetor down while skeletons spawn up yer bum and interrupt ya all the time and to top it off, spikes drop down on ya - thats just silly. The story is well....eh. The first one was quite fine, but the second one was like a bad, baad comedy that wanted to come thru serious. Kratos on other side was neither symphatic nor sumone you should hate, its just a savage beast that fucking kills everyone - and they should leave it like that. I mean, seeing him crying everytime he seas his family is quite out of character and obviously implemented as the whole game was 99% done, to give the poor fellah a reason for the slaughter. But yeah, i can still hear him screamin "Aiiiiiiiiiirriiiiiiiis" and "I must kill Zus!" all the time (Hint hint: written as it is understood). Also a great downpoint for this game is for spawning a large number of God of War lookalikes that still infest the whole game scene. Damn you Sony!
2. Final Fantasy 8 - My first final fantasy and the only time i damned myself for not hearing a friend of mine telling me to play 7 first. It started actualy really well, it got me interested and then, omg, then plot twist! "We were all in the same childrens home when we were little". Way to go and spoiling all the FFs for me. Damn You, SqareEnix!
3. Prototype - the only reason this game isnt 2nd in this list is the fact, it started out..good. But damn that difficulity curve - it starts off piss easy to fun and goes up to frustrating hard as hell in folowing mission and continues to be like that until you get a new upgrade and it goes piss easy again. The story is kinda lame and doesnt want anyone to know how it goes on, the character is unsymathetic and didnt quite fleshed out. Same goes for everyone else in this buggeh game. I mean, when yer "in disguise", you can spring, super jump, float, climb up the buildings and soldiers are A-Ok with dat. But, as soon ya pick sumone up, THEN youre in trouble. God praise the stupid AI and god damn Radical Entertainment.
4- Silent Hill: The Room - Taking a name of an good Game and put it on Generic one, alther the story a bit and add few pink Rabbits - and you get this piece of crap. Aside of being an Peep Show Extravaganza, it features poor gameplay with highly uninteresting, repetative story, not talking about going thru all the levels TWICE. Damn you...or no...Konami, you just broke my heart :<
5. Fable 2 - there is quite a number of games i could come with for 5th place, but i choose fable 2 - game so uninteresting i actualy turned it off a minute after start for the first time. Trying to play it later didnt made it any good, so, fifth place for you. Also, Damn you Lionhead Studios - one Fable was more then enough.

FA+

FF8 - never played it ; I'll stay away from it. I was never into turn based games anyway.
Prototype wasn't THAT bad. I mean it's nothing I'd recommend, but it's not the top 5 worst games EVER. It was ambitious and did deliver on some level. The action was cool, it just got really old eventually. Give us more to do for God's sake!
Silent Hill - never played either.
Fable 2 - Really? I hear from everybody that Fable 2 is sweet. I've played 3 and it pissed me off beyond belief. You can't pause! It brings you to some room or some shit... it's so disorienting and annoying. You also have to hold down a button for like 4 seconds in order to enter a dialog option which was stupid and unnecessary.
I think this game definitely deserves a spot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mB1zWEhgrLs
Prototype wasnt bad, but it had quite a few frustrating parts (like, runing away from chopers all across the city after a mission went wrong) and those couldnt be overlooked, eaven tho the fighting and exploring was interesting for an hour or two.
overheated my video card every hour or so, hah! The first two Fable games really struck me as
short and pointless, over before any sort of fun could be had. FF8 just... good music, bad
everything else; though it's comforting to think of the entire game after the failed assassination
as just one wild dream sequence as his brain slowly dies. There's an entire essay online if you google
'squall is dead'. GOW, no opinion from me. :| Never played 'em, though they always struck me as
a bit repetitive.
And my gosh do I hate The Room with the fury of a thousand suns.
I've never played God of War 1 or 2. I played something like 'Ghost of Sparta' for the PSP though and it was basically the same bullshit, just handheld. I was alright enough with it, but it is damn boring and repetitive. Also that button tap timing shit is total BS.
And THANK YOU GOD for someone not liking FF8. I have no idea how I managed to get stuck with a bunch of friends who will fight tooth and nail that it's the best FF, which is lies and slander. I can physically FORCE my way through shitty or boring RPGs, but that one was so bad that one day I turned it off and gave it away for free. I honestly commend you for getting interested at all. For me, I'll stick to FFVII and FFIX.
And Prototype pissed me off when they took all my offensive abilities. Note to self, if you ever buy that game again, just run around and slaughter in the freedom of the beginning.
Silent Hill: The Room... well, I played Homecoming and Shattered Memories, and it should really be called Shattered Dreams because that's what I got playing them. I'd rather play The Room four times straight with no breaks than be subjected to that kind of shit. It's not even Silent Hill anymore.
And I'll admit to being hopelessly addicted to Fable II. I loved the first one, then I lost the disc for it, so 2 was my replacement. And 3 I had high hopes for and well... I returned it. :/
I dunno I found god of war to be a pretty easy and entertaining game, had no issues with enemies spawning up my ass or pressing buttons. I wouldn't put it on my top 5 but def not in my worst 5.
As for FF8, I played that shit when I was like 9 or so I think so maybe I was too young to realize just "How bad" 80% of the Square fandom considers it. I don't think it's the best FF but Its still my favorite FF. I just think its funny that the game basically plays out like a Quentin Tarinto Pulpfiction, M Night Shamallama sixth sense mashup and yet so many people hate it.
then later I was single, and this hot chick I wanted to hook up with was talking about playing fable 2, and female friend said 'oh yeah its fun', so I get it cheap, and I play a couple hours and then it's still not exciting or really interesting.
not to be sexist but apparently it's more fun for girls... which is fine, if I ever have some chick over at my place, she can play it... ;3
Fuck those ghosts, fuck them so hard. That was just a terrible thing to put in the game :|
Also, limited inventory slots make me raeg
Final Fantasy 8 was the weakest of all the Final Fantasies ever made.
Can's speak to the rest
But in all honesty, I disliked both FF7 and 8, 7 moreso than 8.
Also, I liked the first God of War because I didn't realize how repetitive it was until I tried to play 2. :I
silent hill 4 was epic hilarity
I totally agree about God of War. Also, it bugs me that a lot of kids I worked with at the local middle school in after-school tutoring learned everything they know about Greek mythology from Disney's Hercules and God of War. That is to say, everything they know is completely inaccurate and stupid.
