maybe keep it on hibernate or standby isntead of shutting it down? mines done some scary boot-up fails before, so i tend to do that...

Well, I recently dusted out my computer, found COB-WEBS in it...so I reckon that was my problem. XD

it sounds like hard drive failure to me, so you may want to back stuff up while you have the chance!

Ahh, the infamous "click of death". Get a new hard drive ASAP! The longer that drive runs, the more likely you won't be able to save any of your data.

Oh noes!....i know exactyly that feeling.....my other pc went kaput and it soooooo annoyed me....heh....had nothing for 3 months...heh.
