Life Update: 4/13/2011

What if you were livin' yours,
Instead of hatin' mine?
So my fiddler crabs are dieing. :\
Kingler and Krabby are both dead now and all that's left is the little girl.
It was the strangest thing, all their legs started falling off and were scattered all over the tank.
I don't know exactly why that was happening, I don't think it was from them fighting with eachother. It didn't seem like they ever fought, just waved their claws around until someone scurried away.
I looked up on it and it said it could be doing that from stress, probably from the move.
I'm not sure though.
I've tried cleaning out the tank entirely, replacing the sand with fresh sand, brackish water, a bowl for fresh (de-chlorinated water), etc.
But, I don't really want to get any more crabs unless I'm sure of what the reason is.
Anyway, that's the biggest update I got right now.
Krabby and the girl were from a petstore.
Next time try getting females only, or if you have both, get them separated.
And the male crabs aren't the only ones affected, the female has long one of her legs as well.
So I don't think it was because the male crabs were fighting.
males can get along, but with any species tensions are high when a potential mate is present.
