Everything about them is difficult to draw, from their boxy faces to their long flow-y mane, to their long tails to everything else.

pff lions are easy to draw... use a ruler for straight lions, freehand for wavy lions, marker for thick lions, pencil for thin lions.....

I drew one once and even then i had to drastically cut the mane down. i'm not very good at felines and canines xD.

Draw it in Lion King style ;3

I can't draw horses or dogs too well (dogs as in the pet variety, wolves,foxes and huskies get drawn a lot to be called 'hard')
I'm sure you'll get better as you keep practising ^^
