Ask Me Anything
Yes I am unoriginal and cannot think for myself so I'm taking another page out of Avy's journal book. Actually I used to do these a lot on DA until someone told me it was self-indulgent so I stopped. But then I realize yes it is, and I'm totes fine with indulging myself every once in a while.
Plus I like... know no one here, except for those who have noted me or who I know from DA. I'd like to make some friendzles here too.
So... yeah. As title stated. Ask me anything, about art, games, life, idc. I like talking. I'm very hard to offend so don't feel shackled by manners. Or if you'd prefer to remain anonymous I do have a formspring from a few years ago I recently cleaned out and am re-using.

Wanna be friends? :3 or sumthin?
lol bad question xD okay better one...
WHAT IS THE SQUARE ROOT OF 375 TO THE POWER OF 12 DIVIDED BY X TO THE CATPOWER?
Uh uh uh... oh god math fff well the closet number to 375 when squared is 19.3 and then... catpower...
clearly it is 83
How're you? x3
How about this: What are your favorite genres of books/movies? Or what kind of music do you like?
Hmm... for movies I really like comedy. Action-comedy, romance-comedy, I don't care really as long as I get a laugh and the plot isnt stupid or filled with explosions x3 I pretty much watch like 90% animated stuff though haha. But I like any movie that has a really engaging plot, Slumdog Millionaire and Shawshank Redemption are probably my favorite non-animated.
I like fiction or fantasy books mostly, idk I'm not really picky. I judge a book I like based on the characters/plot as opposed to the genre; I can read any story as long as it has good characters and is written well. Similarly a book can have the coolest setting in the world but if the writing is crap I'm not getting past the first page.
Music, umm... I'm kind of eclectic x3 I like pretty much anything that's interesting to listen to; Coldplay is probably my favorite band along with Hollywood Undead, who are basically polar opposites but Coldplay has very beautiful, deep songs and HU is just fun to listen to. But yeah I like bits of everything, oldies, techno, rap, etc. Only thing I can't stand is country, growing up in Texas has given me enough country to last a lifetime.
Personally I prefer horror. Not many things frighten me, though. Fiction would definitely be my second choice, along with fantasy.
Same here on the music, I'll listen to anything with a nice beat/good lyrics. Country excluded, I just can't stand it.
Also, I heard you were going to France for that trip. I envy you, speaking some french myself and hoping to go there one day. x3 It's a good kind of envy, though. Are you planning to do anything special there, sightseeing, whatever? (Oh, and do you speak french?)
Ugh I can't stand horror movies, I am a complete pansy when it comes to that stuff.
I'm actually going to London for the majority of the time, then taking a week-long trip into France after that term is over with my parents. Mostly just sightseeing touristy stuff. And eating lots of pastries. I don't speak any language other than English (I know bits and pieces of German and Sign Language but I'm just horrible with languages) so that was a big factor in choosing the London campus to study abroad x3
Understandable- people always wonder how I can bear with it. I used to be a pansy with that stuff too
AND THEN I DISCOVERED FURRIES
and now nothing really bothers me anymore. lmao
That sounds great! The pastries are really good, even though I've only had the imitation American ones. I'm interested in learning ASL too, but they don't have any classes here.
Have fun with your trip. :3
(answer: busy with college hnnnnng)
But errrrrrrrrrrrr I'm bad with random questions
If you could change the past, would there be something you'd choose to do differently? :U
Um... hm I guess I'd make myself have a little more confidence. I was bullied pretty bad for several years of school and it was a miserable time for me, I wish I'd have stood up or taken some action instead of trying to tune it out. But overall there's not any life-changing moments I've had that I'd choose to redo.
ONNA DESE DAYS PLZ ( 'fore I'm too busy with college, too D: )
Ya shoulda kicked those bullies in the 'nads ohoho (I tuned out any bad treatment I got at school -- or made wise-arse remarks heh)
/flex
'ey at least ya got some physical contact thar -- an' with the face :> daz mah guuurl
(I slapped some dude in the face once, he was making fun of my autistic sister in front of me -- shoulda punched the dude)
I'll definitely "herp my derp" to Yahoo more often then muahaha
I believe the actual answer however is the weight of a partybus.
(Hint: False)
It's 'cause your... PSYCHIC!
like to play some Borderlands?
If you could live on eating a single food and a single drink for the rest of your life what would they be?
Would you consider doing a collaboration with me? my dA is http://glass-walker.deviantart.com/ in case you want to verify that I actually draw ;)
Pirates or Ninjas?
Are you really Jewish?
Hm... probably Mac and Cheese to eat and Seltzer to drink x3 My favorite foods have not changed since I was like 3 haha.
I honestly would but not at the moment, I'm way too busy trying to finish up the school year and getting ready for a semester abroad :\ If I ever do open up collabs though I'll let ya know.
Ninjas ofc
Depends on how you define it x3 Religiously, no I am not. Racially, my father's half of the family are all Israeli/Austrian Jews for as long back as the line can be traced, so I've got quite a few of those physical traits (aka curly hair and big nose).
seltzer sounds delish lD
understandable ^^ I'll still be here~
ohh pssh wryyyyyyy, pirates pwn, I want to see a ninja try to dodge a cannon
O3O are you mesianic as well? My mum and all her family traced back, are Jewish and she was the first in her family(as far as we know) to marry a gentile. soo by religion I'm christian but by blood I'm Jewish as well <8D
you're the first I've talked to who agrees being Jewish is a race not just religion
Thanks c:
Will you write a loooo~ooong fat journal about your exchange trip?
What sorts of art classes did you take/are you taking? Were they all at school or did you take some over the summer?
What are some of your biggest pet peeves?(About anything, really.)
Tell me, have you seen the marvelous Breadfish?
Do you do a lot of fiction writing/free writing?
What sort of books are you into?
Sorry for the onslaught ^^' Just a little curious.
Oof that's a can of worms isn't it x3 Um, art-wise I don't like people who make piss-poor designs and try and sell them, or who half-ass art in general. Non-art pet peeves include people treating animals like babies, people who try to be edgy, and loud people. I'm a crotchety old woman at heart.
I... have not :U Is it a fish made of bread or am I missing the point.
I write a little bit, normally 2-3 page blurbs about my characters, but I don't post them because IMO I'm a terrible writer x3 I used to write a ton when I was like 13-15, got some 100-page stories (terrible ones, but nonetheless) going before I lost interest. But my muse for writing has kind of died off lately, though I like it when I get "into" it.
Books... hm... to be totally honest I don't read a lot anymore :/ I was a major bookworm when I was a kid, but lately I tend to be more drawn to comics and graphic novels than books, though I do still read. Jodi Picoult is probably my favorite author, I eat her stuff up. I tend to like fiction, I really like fiction with a little bit of fantasy thrown in, but I've found it's hard to find good books that balance between plausible fantasy and "oh god there's magic coming out my orifices."
... sorry for the novel of a reply lol
YAYWORMS. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of seeing a rather simple adoptable and then HOLYWAT20BUCKS. Really an annoying little bit. What do you consider half-assed in art, if you don't mind me asking? owo
And I can't stand seeing animals being dressed up and coddled like infants either. o-e XD Nothing wrong with being an old woman at heart.
Just a little silly something my friends encountered and linked me XD It was a webpage dedicated to nothing but this: http://youtu.be/ilKBhGu5QJs
Aw, i'm sure it's not that bad! The bit of roleplaying I got to do with you was very enjoyable- your posts seemed very well written to me. I'm similar though- my writing muse will come and go like nuts- and when I'm not into it, I'm REALLY not into it.
I find that I read a lot less nowadays than I used to as well. :/ Not sure why- I just got into life and school and art and all that just seemed to eat up any time or attention I had left for reading.
Jodi Picoult....name is so familiar. I may have read a book or two of hers but I don't remember all that well. And yeah, I see a ton of full out fantasy, but I don't think I can recall one that was sort of toned down in that regard. Then again I sometimes forget books I read until I hear the names again XD
Half-assed like... when people do the lineart without sketching, or do their shading in 2 seconds, are messy with the color, etc. I see it a lot on youtube especially, drives me nuts. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, but I do think you should always try your best when you draw and strive for improvement. Generally if you're not trying to improve/being very repetitive it means you're a bit infatuated with your art, or else have some weakness of character and that, to me, is very irritating to see.
Omg that video is amazing. I've reached enlightenment I think.
Yeah I gotta get back to the roleplay x3 My muse kind of pooted out. Maybe one of these days when I write a blurb I like I'll submit it here.
Yeah I wanna say it's a time issue too, I mean I love going into a bookstore and milling around, but then when I get home I'm like... on a strict diet of eat and sleep lol. My personal timer doesn't like leaving time to chill and read. And yeah I like books that sort of mix it up, like... magic in a plausible sense, I find I'm better able to connect to a story if it's at least partially realistic. Which is why I'm still a gigantic nerd over Harry Potter lol
Was just curious because I'll be a senior next year and I need to make a choice on college- and I was thinking of art college if that was the only place you could get more of the intricate and interesting art classes.
Ah, I see. ...Wait, linearting without sketching? ....I didn't think that was possible. o.o And it is good to always try improving- I know i'm never perfectly happy with the things I finish XD
I know. Isn't it miraculous?
That would be nice to see! 83 And take your time- I understand muse dying for roleplays, mine does all the time.
Oh man, Harry Potter. XD Love that series. But I have to admit I never got around to reading the final book. Of course my friends made sure it was spoiled for me so I knew the important happenings-- I didn't much mind though.
Hum, hum...Mind for one or two more?
What was your very first OC that you can remember?
What kind of Music do you like? 83
(Sorry, sometimes I talk too much. ><' Tell me if I am.)
My very first OC, hmm. When I was like, 8 I had a dog I drew all the time, who was a yellow lab with half-perked ears I named Penny. So I guess she counts x3 The first character that I actually took seriously was a dachsund character named Melvin; in middle school I liked drawing comics and I literally have about a hundred pages of him and his doggy friends having adventures (he was like, anthro in the sense that it was a world of dogs, but he still looked like a normal dog. I was not exposed to furries at the time haha). I think I have them all in a folder somewhere, I skim through them sometimes when I'm feeling nostalgic.
Music I'm kind of weird about x3 I like a lot of stuff, honestly. Rock, indie, rap, pop, techno, really anything as long as it has a strong beat or rhythm to it. Except for country and screamo-metal, I hate those. But for instance, my two favorite bands are Coldplay - beautiful lyrics, string and piano melodies, etc - and Hollywood Undead - rap/rock about drugs, parties, and all that stuff. So I'm a little eclectic there x3
haha I don't mind at all.
Aw, sounds cute! I remember I couldn't make just one character without making like, 40 of their friends as well. XD
I'm similar- if someone put my mp3 on shuffle they'd be scratching their head and thinking I was schizo. Not to mention a ton of it isn't even in english! XD Just as long as it doesn't sound like a mess. I'm not normally a fan of rap- but if it's combined with a good beat and some kind of actual singing, I like it well enough. I typically dislike heavy metal(The ones with the singers that sound like a car engines) and I'm not too big a fan of screamo metal either. I do like Country though- I seem to be a bit of a minority on that, these days XD
Humhum...What were some of your favorite T.V shows as a kid? owo
Haha yeah, I ended up with a whole troop of dogs in my dog-town. Mostly because my friends kept making me make characters for them, it got ridiculously extensive at one point.
Haha same, my playlist goes from classical soundtracks to 80s music to techno dance and back. But it works for me. Musical eclecticism FTW.
Hm... as a kid... probably anything that was animated. I LIVED off of the old Nicktoon/Kaboom shows - Ren and Stimpy, Cow and Chicken, Rugrats, Fairly Oddparents, Spongebob (when it premeired), and then stuff like Scooby Doo, Courage the Cowardly Dog. I didn't really watch anything live-action except for shows on Animal Plant, the Crocodile Hunter was like, my idol growing up. But my obsession with talking cartoon animals seems to have formed from early years x3
I ended up with a big pack for one of my first ever wolf characters way back when- sad thing is I never utilized any of them after a year or so so they just kinda sat around collecting mind-dust.
X3 My parents are confounded by my taste in music. They walk past my door and for some reason hear music box songs playing. It makes for really funny reactions.
And I'll listen to oldies a good bit- I have a friend who's i-pod is almost nothing but oldies and trance/techno, so it tends to rub off. XD
Same, though I wasn't a big fan of Ren and Stimpy or Cow and Chicken. I remember trying to sit through episodes of them and spending the whole time going, "WhatisthisIdon'teven--"
But I really enjoyed Oddparents, Spongebob and Scooby Doo- though I was actually afraid to watch Courage XD It was a good show, but it freaked me out for some reason. And most, if not all, of my live action experience was also Animal Planet. X3
Were you into the Disney movies or Don Bluth movies? I remember if the movie had animals in it, I was sold. XD
Haha yeah some of the old cartoons are a little "wat" when you look back at them, Ren and Stimpy especially. There was one show I could never watch... "Real Monsters" I think. It scared me x3 Lol yeah Courage had some weirdly scary moments in it. I loved the characters of the old people too much though, I still use the WE DONT WANT ANY on a regular basis.
Omg yes, I lived off Disney movies. I still have all my VHS tapes of just about every Disney/Dreamworks/Bluth movie ever made x3 Those were my jam.
Oh man, there was one episode of that that kept me up for a week-- I don't know if you'll remember it- but it was like "The Curse of King Ramsey" or something- and I think Eustace found some tablet that made this horrible, mind-blowingly disturbing CGI ghost appear in the front yard and start singing about himself to get it back. :C NIGHTMARES FOREVER.
I also used to watch Ed Edd and Eddy, to my mom's bafflement- she thought it was one of the dumbest things on television and couldn't get for the life of her why I would watch it- but I did almost every day. XD
Oh man, Real Monsters. I didn't watch it either- but that was just because I thought it was stupid. XD And why wouldn't you? That's the best thing to yell at anyone who's at your door!
Loved those so much X3 We tried to collect them, but we never could get our hands on all of them. :c From Disney, I'd have to say Lady and the Tramp was my all-time favorite.(At least, from my memory. XD) I also loved All Dogs go to Heaven from Bluth.
Did you have a favorite? 83
Hmm, all-time favorite... prrrrrrobably the Aristocats x3 I still find it adorably endearing, and the designs are part of what inspired me to get into drawing cartoons (I think), how they were so simple but still looked and moved like real cats. Fascinated me. Also, big house-bustin Jazz songs.
