Most Loved / Most Hated game of all time?
I realize this is a bizarre subject for a journal after such a period of inactivity. It's also note a meme as far as I know, nor is this an attempt to start one, actually. A discussion with a friend of mine just sort of reignited the spark on this particular subject and I thought I'd share it. If you feel like propagating it, though, go for your life.
MOST LOVED GAME OF ALL TIME?
The original Neverwinter Nights. In its full form, with all the expansions. Probably the best non-Eastern Adventure/RPG game of all time. However highly subject to debate that may be, it's my opinion, and nothing's been able to change it thus far. The original NWN, especially in its fully expanded form, was long as hell, could dynamically generate to keep things changing on re-plays, and had the most insanely large character customization and growth system WITHOUT being needlessly complicated or ultimately half pointless. The graphics, at the time, were great (in fact I remember a lot of games after it that didn't look as good) and, so far as I recall, it was one of the last games to come out before the "dumbing down" effect really began.
MOST HATED GAME OF ALL TIME?
Neverwinter Nights 2, for being the biggest disappointment in video gaming I've ever experienced. NWN2 was deplorably weak and an insult to the original. And I'll go to my grave resolute in that opinion.
RUNNERS UP
Portal comes in a close second, tied with Dead Space 1 and 2, on the positive side.
Carmageddon 3 comes in an easy first on the negative side, for never actually being made. Strange reason to hate something (not existing) I guess, but I loved me some Carmageddon back in the day, and 3 never actually happening just...saddens me. (Note: I'm well aware of TDR2000, but that wasn't actually Carmageddon 3, in fact it barely qualifies as a Carmeddon at all, and if you liked the games, you should understand why.)
That's my two cents (before conversion rates). Peace and shiny things.

Ultima 7 Part 1 - After playing the previous games, this one shattered the conceptions of what a CRPG could be from the moment the voice came from the speakers 'Greetings, Avatar...'
Runners Up:
King of Fighters '97 - End of the Orochi saga was so epic, and had such a huge following in Australia
Curse of the Azure Bonds - What really got me into the Gold Box edition D&D games
Mass Effect - I've cleared it over 20 times for a reason XD
Most Hated Game of All Time:
Marvel vs Capcom 3. So much excitement, such a huge letdown.
Runners Up:
Halo 2 - So much potential, so much of a 'lets make money while waiting to do part 3!'
Dragon Age - Origins (Console Version only) - A huge disappointment after all the 'Baldur's Gate spiritial successor' hype. The PC version actually lived up to it.
Half Life - The game had moments of brilliance whenever you fought the opposing human forces... and then you had the ending in the other dimension, which was nowhere near as fun to play.
But I did, however, play HL2, including the episodes.
The biggest letdowns for me were the episodes - EP1 was too short (finished that in 4 hours w/out playing seriously), and EP2 was almost the same way (got that in 6-7 hours; hated the final run).
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
It's the only game that I can think of that's loved AND hated XD
It makes for a great tournament game, easily hackable, fun game to kill time with, etc.
But it's also VERY repetitive in gameplay, no wave-dashing, and Snake, Sonic, and Metaknight are broken O_O
PC games:
Like: Team Fortress 2 (very fun and never ending)
Hate: Geometry Wars (Worst $4 I've ever spent)
Ganon: I use him
Snake: too hard to knock out
Metaknight: Spammer >.<
Most Hated: Bad day LA: buggiest piece of crap I've ever played, I try to give every game a chance but I didn't even bother with this turd after only getting to the second level.
Runner up for favorite: Gmod, Quake 3.
Streets Of Rage 2: simply because, you know, it's fun and senseless and I am good at it. And it's the only real videogame memory from my childhood that wasn't a disappointment latter in life ( I'm looking DIRECTLY at you Sonic and your disappointingness. )
As for the most hated?
Urgh, it's hard for me to HATE anything, much less a videogame. I am not a fan of Rock Revolution at all, but that isn't hate as much as it is dislike. I could easily say I hate Streets Of Rage 4 for the same reason you hate Carmageddon 3. ( and HATE Sega for telling the makers of Streets of Rage Remake to take it down :< ). But I think if I was to settle on a hates game, N+ for the PSP, yeah. Rage. And broken PSP. Mostly rage.
Hated: I guess I'll have to rate this by scale of let-down, since I tend to not hate games. Biggest disappointment for me was Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. Everything about that game cried 'mediocre'. Hopefully this new one will do better now that Midway's gone form it.
I could play that game over and over again and never get bored with it. It is so unique from other RPGs. I can't say a bad thing about that game. Even it's simple graphics made the game endearing ^_^
Most Hated Game of all time: TNA iMPACT!
I love wrestling games but this game was a stinker. I hated the controls most all.
Most Hated Game of all time: Knights of the Old Republic 2-Seriously, Obsidian, it'd be nice if you ever finished a fucking game in your life, or at the very least removed ALL of the content you cut instead of leaving us wondering if we could progress further. Also, your use of the StarViper as a Basilisk war droid makes me nerd rage so hard.
Runners up:
Loved: KOTOR, WoW, SC2, Portal 2
Hated: NWN 2, FEAR 3, Damnation
