What do you guys collect?
Not too long ago it was rightfully pointed out that I own more WWII helmets than anyone in his right mind should (I forgot about the Navy talker's helmet out in the hallway,
, so actually that makes 19 all total ^^;), and it got me wondering what sorts of silly stuff everybody else has hoarded over the years!
So what do you all collect?

So what do you all collect?
I didn't notice I had 5 of them till my friend pointed them out.
If someone replies here that they collect locks, I daresay that'd be a match made in heaven :3
I do somtimes display them though, but most of the time I keep them all tucked inside a little tin box.
And if someone here collects locks, I must meet them!

dragons are everywhere else
I don't have it all anymore. It all went into the junkyard, I suppose. But the garage was like a poor man's K*B Toys for the longest time, and it was so awesome.
Hm... aside from that, my mom still owns a lot of Beatles LPs and records from her heyday. We still got'im. We don't go out as much as we used to to collect more music, through casettes or CDs (We own six cases of classical music, musical or film soundtracks on casette tape, and we used to own a bunch of VHS stuff). Brahms, Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, it's all here.
In the wake of the mp3 though, we basically got them again online for free. xD
Record -> Casette -> CD -> mp3... I wonder what will be next? And how soon our current music collections will be rendered obsolete yet again, heh!
I used to attempt making my own radio station as a kid. :O I had about six tapes that were formerly read-along tapes that went with Sesame Street books, but I put tape over the top (or little pieces of paper in those hole slits) and recorded me being like, "Oh hai, welcome to the Aaron show!" and I'd record either what was on the station or various things around the house.
I only was able to salvage one, made in 1995, which featured nearly everyone in my family around me. :3 So awesome.
This is a good blog. ^^ I like it. Many great memories coming into my head now.
I'm blown away by how big a response this has gotten ^^ Lots of good nostalgia here. Many thanks to you and everyone else who's shared!
So far I have an Associates Degree in Photography, and an Associates Degree in Computer Network Systems
Magic cards. Definitely. I also collect old things. It's a bit vague, but I LOVE old technology. Typewriters, gun parts, lanterns, mining equipment, copies of the Necronomicon, ect.
Also, crystals. I find them on the property, and I keep all the interesting ones.
I live near a mine, so there's a TON of quartz around x3 Crystals just pop up after the rains wash away some of the dirt, and then I go down near the mine and pick them out of the side of the trail :3
This is also where I get some of the old mininq equipment and what not.
Yiff arts)
The closest things I could be said to "collect" are european comics and video games otherwise <.<;
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck it's too easy to do. I have sets of paint I have not even opened.
Currently I have about 5 or 6 tool boxes full, not counting paper and canvases.

Domestic money. :B
Bits of trash and plastic crap I find on the ground.
(I'd try to collect domestic money too, but I keep spending it >_<)
I do know that I have Euros, as well as classic money from places like... fff, I dunno, Canada, UK, Netherlands, Germany, Italy... More far-flung places like St. Lucia, Comoros, China, Japan... I've got some paper money as well, some of it really old, WWII era. My domestic money collection includes a filled state quarters map, territories included. :D
Of course, I've never been to any of these places. :B But I definitely need to sort it all out.

(Also, you must be the youngest 21-year-old I've met, according to your page :P)
Good call with the HO scale - if he likes it and stays interested, he can always graduate up later!

I mean.. video games and related chotchkies, I guess.
I have also been known to collect hobbies. I have far to many.
And... dare I ask how many you have?
Since starting collecting I have learned a lot about the history of manual computing aids, and the theory that goes into making and using them. I think the usefulness of many concepts has been lost on the graphing calculator generation. As an engineering student I wouldn't do without my digital calculator on a daily basis, but as a teaching aid, slide rules provide an immense insight into things like logarithms. I hope to grow my collection to the point where I can go into the local high school while they are learning logarithmss and give a presentation with enough for everyone to play with one.
Cheers,

Pictures of beautiful things, pens and mechanical pencils, things with stars on them, blankets, hoodies, oWoD role playing books, air freshener scents, recipes and cookbooks, textbooks, and trivia.... to name some things.
lol I tend to collect a lot of stuff but since most of it's useful I use it and then there's a reason to collect more. lol XD
(I miss oWoD... except for the botching part. I always botched horribly ;_;)
