So Pokemon Black and White is a solid game. Are there problems? Yes--not being able to plant your own berries, and a higher difficulty curve are among them. But they are outweighed by the pluses--faster graphics, interesting plot, and post-game play that goes beyond beating the Elite.
The Dream World is fun, albeit limited. The 1 hour every 24 hours is particularly irksome, but given the nature of online gaming and the number of kids that play it, it's not too surprising. Actually, to the end of keeping kids from getting glued to the computer, it's a fairly responsible mechanic to institute.
Global Trading, the negotiation aspect of it, is neat. You trade in real time, using a set of four emotes to show whether you like, dislike, are excited, or in love with that they put up. So far I've got a Japanese eevee and a shiny Audino <3<3<3
Global battle has been a suck fest. Not because of the system or the game. I can't fault Nintendo's new online wireless matchup system. No, I'm just having a bitch of a time battling. I don't mind losing to someone with a stronger set of pokemon, or even a complex strategy. I don't like it, but I'm not going to ragequit. However, I've so far been denied 3 wins because of people dropping the game before they lose. In one scenario just as his last pokemon fainted. I know this isn't a new phenomenon, but when I'm playing Halo, at least, folks who drop games as they're about to quit are penalized in terms of the points they earn and how quickly they can queue up again. Pokemon's a pretty simple system in terms of win/loss. Would it be that hard to code a win/loss drop contingency based on the number of pokemon left standing on either side?
Sorry about that last big rant. I really am enjoying the game. Just frustrated with this particular aspect of it.
Also, I miss having a pokemon follow me around.

(And you don't have to water them so much like in the old game.)
The only (-) is, the you must have luck to get the berries there.
(+) is the trading system. You offer things you don't need and maybe get better items.
(Okay, you can also get shit from others, but that is the fun at the trading.)
About battles I can't say something about that.
Never battled someone till now.
Still working on my dream team.
(1x LV.100, 2x Lv. 80+, 3, LV.<40 ... Want them all at Lv. 100 or 6 new on Lv. 50.)
A BIG (-) is, that you can't find your friends (friendcode) in the dreamworld. You have to search them.
And hell, that takes more then 1 hour!
Tipp from me:
- If you walk through the dreamwood don't lay a berry in the oak at the first time.
Walk 3,4,5,6 times through the wood and get manny berries, items and Pokémons and then choose what you want.
(On this way I got 4 new berries and 12 new Pokémon I didn't knew that they were there.)
They are hidding in water, trees and plants (look at movements) or just stay around.
(Like that damn pink "Schlurp" or "Lickthing" <hope that was the correct english name>, I hate the Poké.).
If you ever find "SliferD" in the dreamworld, that is me.
PS: I trade soon with special breedings.
- Zorua with Dark Pulse
- Vulpix with Energy Ball
- and some more ...
But only after easter (+ 2 weeks on nonestop work / read newest journal to understand).
And yeah, I've made a habit of clearing out my forest.
The best way I've found to get berries is to just wander to other people's homes and check their shelves.
(Have many strong DARK PHISICAL ATTACKS but they are not very strong if Zorua use them.)
Your breeding sounds interesting.
How did you get it?
The thing with the visiting is good too, but not very usefull if you have only 1 hour to search the berry you seek.
I need an anti-freez-berry to get my now island, but till now noone have it.
(Thanks I found someone who have it and is my dream-friend there. Must only hope he give my a berry later.)
I bred Extrasensory into Zorua using a Shiftry--and, man did that take a while.
Seriously, that is the greatest thing.
I simply WOULD NOT use TMs in previous titles because I couldn't replace them. Only ones I could buy in mass would I perchase and use.
I... also really don't like the fact that things like the sleep clause and the evasion clause aren't honored, yet the Item clause is. I've had way too many times already where I've gotten cheesed by crap like Moody Octillery or just some sort of cheapy tactic that you wouldn't see in a match sanctioned by say... Smogon.
Lets see if I can find the time to play it.
