The Rules:
- You must post these rules.
- Each tagged person must post 10 things about themselves on their journal.
- You have to choose and tag 10 people and post their icons on the same journal.
- Go to their pages and tell them you tagged them!
One!
I'm a comic book nerd. Being female, this can make life a bit awkward for me. No matter what you look like (and I'm no catch), male comic book fans invariably get creepy around me.
To clarify, simply because I read the same comics you do does not mean I want to date you and/or suck your dick. Just no.
Also, don't ask...
Two!
I'm a horror movie junkie. Hollywood, Asian, B, realistic, it's all good. I dig a good monster movie as much as I can get into a believable horror flick.
In clarification, My current faves for horror movies are the remake of Nightmare on Elm Street (dream living psycho pedophile who can kill you in your sleep), Martyrs (French horror, people doing really screwed up things to one another, could possibly happen if people got messed up enough), Tokyo Gore Police (Asian horror, doesn't even pretend to make sense. Engineers are people who grow biomechanical weapons from wounds. Penis cannon, that's all I have to say.) and Human Centipede (freaky ass German doctor decided to sew three people together ass to mouth and keep them as a pet. Freaky and kind of fascinating at the same time).
Three!
I'm very addicted to Dr. Pepper. If I were cut, I might bleed it.
Four!
Beyond the internet, maybe eleven people know I'm bisexual. I'm not entirely closeted, but I'm cautious about who that information gets to. I've been friends with a few hellfire and brimstone Christians, so I'm a bit uneasy of coming out to friends unless I know them really well and don't think they'll freak out.
Five!
I'm something of a meme addict. This may stem from my being exceptionally open with people who show some interest in me. I'm very rarely shy about sharing personal sentiments and details, especially online.
Don't misunderstand, there are very few people I would randomly spout, "Wow, I just had the best sex ever!" to at random (aside of jokes). I have a very quirky sense of humour, but not everyone is interested in the nitty gritty.
Six!
I've been obsessed with dragons since childhood. When I was a child, I loved Dudley the Dragon, and I grew into things like Dragonheart. I don't know what it is about them, they're just awesome.
Which might lead people to ask, why isn't your personal avatar in the fandom a dragon?
Largely, I saw there were a fuckton of them, and I wanted to be a snowflake. Doesn't mean I dislike dragon characters, I have some good friends who lean that way, actually. I think dragons are most possibly the most customizable species (real or imagined) there is, which is very cool, but I like presenting as a chameleon nonetheless.
Seven!
I am (probably sadly) very proud of myself when it comes to my job. I work technical support for a local ISP and Digital Cable Provider. I've worked with them for the past year and change, and in that time I've managed to win multiple awards and earn three promotions.
In the past two months, I've won five awards, and sadly, I'm very proud of this. The interesting part will be the gala luncheon for one of these, given that I almost panic given public recognition.
Eight!
In the past three weeks, I've been to four countries aside of my native one. My husband and I took a vacation across the Atlantic from our home country of Canada. We visited England, Wales, the Republic of Ireland, and North Ireland. Thius was my first cross continental flight, and was surprisingly entertaining.
Nine!
I love musicals. Not just a little, a lot. I've seen quite a few to date, though my all time favorite is Repo! The Genetic Opera.
Weirdly enough, the close second is Mamma Mia. O.o
ABBA is surprisingly awesome for musical movie selections!
Ten!
I've officially tasted ten year old Bushmill's Irish Whisky. We were in Ireland, and so on a whim we picked some up for our group of friends.
It's foul! It was like liquefying an ash tray and drinking it! Ugh!
Then again, I thought Guiness (also tried in Ireland) tasted like stewed wood. Not tasty, and thick enough to choke on. Ick!

You're doing better than me. At this point, more people know I'm trans than that I'm bi. I'm not quite sure what that says about me. I know all about having to worry about coming out to your friends for fear they'll turn on you, though. Except for my immediate family, and one or two others, I don't really know anyone, locally, who would accept me.
In the past three weeks, I've been to four countries aside of my native one.
I'm glad you were able to go. I visited parts of Europe and the UK when I was younger and both trips were lots of fun. (Not that I'm nearly rich enough to go on my own. Don't I wish! Both times were through school programs.) I never got to see Wales or any part of Ireland, though. The closest I got to Wales was the tour guide pointing and saying "If you look over that hill..." as we sped down the road. If I ever have the chance to go back to the UK I'd dearly love the chance to see all of them. If I didn't spend all my time mooching around in London for the sake of hanging out at the museums there.
I've never tried any Irish Whisky, but I did try Guiness once. It wasn't the worst thing I ever drank, but it's not something I think I'd ever try again. I only finished the one I bought because I'd paid so much for it.
I've seen so many people do this meme, I may to fill it out myself.
Feel free to consider yourself tagged, hun.
In fairness, with regards to the bisexuality thing, there's a second aspect (in the vein of trans, actually) that maybe four people (including online) know about.
That one isn't mentioned often.
oh god, the comic book story. man, that went from kinda awesome to awkward in .5 seconds. And be proud of your job! you're doing great at it, and it's a massive step up from Sears! Go you!
As for the job, I feel really lucky that I've not only found a job I enjoy doing, but one I excell at. =)
