He who hesitates is lost... My PC is somewhat functional a day after the 'NTLDR missing' error. It seemed I was booting from the wrong disk, silly me. Now, I get occasional stop errors, sweet.
If that doesn't find anything, then the problem itself lies in your software.
If worse comes to worst, you may end up having to backup everything important you have and reformatting to fix it.
I reformat every 6 months just for optimization sake. Then again, I also run pretty minimal and store almost everything externally anyway. =/
