yeah i know, but as i dun really play WoW anymore, its not really a bother.

i kinda got out of it once i left really.. its no fun when you dun have people to play with

mostly i play SL, and for that its more of processing speed than anything else to handle the servers. I believe the ACER had the faster processor

I ummm... was thinking it'd just be easier to keep your puter and replace the HDD first - it'd be easier and faster and you'd be back up sooner. <G>

problem is i dont have enough money to replace the hard drive, plus the computer i was using is a POS anyway. Its like 7 years old.. I've been wanting to get a newer one for a while, so this is basically my excuse XD

besides, I only need a few weeks to save up for a newer better one, so having to pay a bill will make it easier to save in my brain.. i work weird XD. See, I'm an impulse spender.. its so bad that i usually have my entire paycheck spent by Sunday most of the time(being paid every friday) I see it as the sooner and faster i save up, the less money I'll have to spend on renting the computer, thus it will encourage me to actually save rather than spend. With the hours i have now, after factoring the bill for the computer i want to rent and the friend I'm paying back, i'll be able to get a new computer at most a month from now, maybe sooner :3

sure, it might seem like a long time still, but to me, its far better than just piddling out 20 bucks a check then ending up spending it anyway cuz there is something i want to buy that i don't really need >.>

See if your bank offers a goal savings. It's a savings acct where you put money in for a goal (any size) and you can't take money out without going there physically to close the account. Every week just use the online thing in your account to shove the money in. It'll do the same, and you won't pay $1200 for a $300 computer that will be obsolete and probably broken by the time you get it.

A lot of people going with those rent-before-own things end up with a computer that has no support, obsolete parts and often times comes with faulty or broken hardware, and the center won't fix it, and the company that makes it won't support it.

well first off, I have no bank account and no way to get one for personal reasons

secondly, i carefully read their contract, and RAC does offer full support if the computer breaks anytime while i'm using it, as well as offering a replacement if they need time to fix it, plus if it gets damaged due to fire, lightning, windstorm, flooding, and/or stolen, i don't have to finish paying it off/continue renting it ^^

honestly I'm pretty happy with the way they do business.

Well do you get to use it immediately or do you have to pay a certain threshold in order to actually have the computer?

well to pay it off totally over time it'd be like 90 weekly payments totalling out to $4002


if i could manage it though, I have 90 days from today to come up with $1844 to pay it off for the same as cash price
