We need your moneys.

And I do it all for free-
Your tears are all the pay I'll ever need.
So, I'm going to go as Salieri along with Candyjack aka ~Cannibalclinik as Motzart. If you haven't watched the film Amadeus do so right now, or upon your wretched soul's a blight will be cast so that...yeah whatever, you'll be sad as an individual if you don't.
I have a raging headache, a ton of large art projects to procrastinate on, several packages to mail out, and no current commissions, and now a brand new temporary-sort-of-unemployment.
I desperatly needs the monies for the monthly train tickets, random acts of charity I do, voice acting classes, art stuffs, and beverages, but chiefly for keeping the parents not wanting to devour me in the Darwinian process known as survival. Last time I tried to be a street hussy but something obscene and terrible happened and my license got revoked. *drumbeat* Yeah.
So folks, I'm seriously up for grabs. I am whoring myself out to you. (No pun intended.) Be it a comic, portrait or watevuh, I needs your cas- I mean deep sympathy and love through this time of dire-ness. I will stoop so low as to dress like a party clown for your little cousin Mark's 6th birthday and actually getting a Paypal account.
*NOTE- If you have free money (ha) to throw around, don't really waste it on me if you know of some better place to give it to. I know it's hard for you guys too. There are lots of problems still going on now after Katrina, and many other causes as well that you can go for. I'd reccomend trick or treating for UNICEF if you can, and hunting down the bastards who steal that money they get for it, by egging them down and then feasting on their eyeballs.
Anywho, so tells me what's become of Halloween this year? Why are people not so lavishly decorating their houses lately as I recall they used to and kids becoming more unethusiastic, or is that just me? I love Halloween, it's better than Christmas for me. (Not on the account I am Jewish really, as we celebrate the stuff anyways) but just the overall atmosphere. Not much planning, no cooking, no rushing, no freaking about gifts and relatives and traffic, no cleaning the house, just relaxed fun and pranks and parties, and noone gets down on you bout the spirit you're in, or how religious you are. It's commercial but meant to BE commercial, and technically is a holiday that is celebrated by everyone, even though culturally it is an American thing, in every religion there's a point of transition, a holiday that looks on the changing of the seasons, preparing for the winter, the reaping of a harvest, and reflection of Death and maturing of one's self. It is Pagan first and foremost, but has Catholic influences and has predecessor's from all over early Europe, the early colonists, and similar holidays in native cultures, Mexico and South America. I wish people didn't say that "Halloween is the devil" merely cos it emulates the scary and the unknown, or cos it isn't a holiday that worships Jesus. The Fourth of July and Mother's Day don't emulate Jesus, but reflect on things that are important to us as a country and now are equally as commercial if not more so since they are merchandising out concepts that are much more personal.
Religiousness is part of that if it ties you together as a community and family, but one should be able to do that regardless of how religious they are I think.
I think a holiday is more important to use as a time to hang with friends, look back on yourself and the world, and just take a time out to relax. Halloween is one of the few holidays that we really can relax on anymore. Everything else (espicially Christmas) has become such a stress-fest, and a need to proove how much better we are at celebrating than our neighbors to the point we forget it is a holiday break.
Soon as Halloween is over, the two most gluttonous holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas, will be shoved up our faces so fast it'll make your heads spin...so live it up folks. Enjoy this dark and pleasant season. Sure school is still in session. But you don't get to show off without it.
