Today, a beautiful woman smiled at me at the supermarket for no reason I could possibly think of.
I was too nervous to do anything about it (I was too nervous to even smile back), but it made me feel, even for only a few minutes, an actual bit of HOPE in my life today.
...And then my day was once again ruined by my mother as soon as I got home. I can't ever have nice things, even for a second. I can't even enjoy an attractive woman smiling at me without any prompting for the first time ever in my entire life. FML.
