All my opera-knowledgeable friends agreed unanimously that this tenor is a great big teddy bear. Dude makes the Duke of Mantua, the sluttiest sleaziest fucker this side of the romantic era, into a lovable lug.
Also pay attention about halfway through when he finishes at the halfway point-- about 2:15-- people call for an encore and he's all "d'aww shucks really? :#3~" and he is SO ADORABLE.

I love this aria, although I can't remember anything else out of Rigoletto. He does look pretty cute when they applaud again, made me giggle.
