Whelp. No job still but no yelling, so things are being a bit better.
Lately I've been interested in different types of art, like sculpting, charm making, and even needlefelt.
Before I learned I could draw, I used to be really into sculpting. Like, really into it.
I even once made a whole octopus, complete with jewels and treasure chest that was a big as both of my palms. I never baked it unfortunately. It sat on top of my family's tv for so long it baked into the plastic of the tv from the heat, and you can still see the indentations in the plastic to this day XD
I've also been looking at adorable little charms like
sweetie's, and others. I love how they look, and I'm tempted to try making little bottle charms myself.
I also just discovered
dartjunkie's wonderful little wyrmlings and the sort. I just ADORE how they look. (Iwantoneiwantoneiwantthreedozen) I'm not sure I'd be able to get into sewing just yet, but I love how the sculpey heads look with the rest of the body... like on the
falvie sculpture
waffelle created. She used Needlefelt to create the rest of the body however.
Which led me to thinking about needlefelt. I had seen it before and always been amazed at it, but had no idea how to make it. I looked up how-to today, and I am thorougly impressed and enthused!
Now, I won't be able to play around with anything of these until I get a ffffffffffffffffffing job. BUT I look forward to playing around with these! I have always enjoyed sculpture, and seeing it in different forms only makes me happier.

I can't wait to get my hands on some myself, but I will need alot of practice with it since it's been yeaaars since I touched the stuff.
I still have some cheap oil plasticine that my grandmother gave me for my birthday one year... for some reason. She even got me the kiddies set of play tools to go with it XD
I've never touched it cause A: it's oily as hell and a pain to work with (specially since I have my sweaty hands) and B: I wouldn't be able to keep anything I made afterwards since you can't bake it.
I'm waiting till tuesday to mention it to my mom - I'm 50-50 on it because mom said she wanted to go out with her friends for that weekend (May 2/4) and Dad is hopefully taking the kids away for the weekend to see our great-grandma. So, if mom says Screw you, I'm buggering off with friends and you have to stay home and watch the dogs, I'm SOL.
Even though I told her 3 weeks ago about Anime North, and she promply forgot about it (due to monetary stress, oh em gee.)
When she first told me about her plans I hadn't realized it was the weekend of AN too, or else I would have spoken up then.

Grrr Mi told me it was the AN weekend! Grrrr him!! So May 2/4 is this coming weekend? Well, that works that part out at least XD Now I just gotta get the cash!
I'm hoping that I can get the night shift job at the Foodland in Waterford - it's not much, and I'm not sure if I'd be able to stay awake, but it's something. I need monies!!
And yeah, I know AN is at that date, but I have NO CLUE when May 2/4 is so whats why I was going by what Mi said.
