I haven't tried FF Mystic Quest, but I am following HCBailly's Let's Play series of it. Not enough "GAAAAAAAAAAME" moments, but oh well~ :3

It's interesting. Not the usual Final Fantasy, but it's a hell of a lot better than FF12 and FF13...

Well... it seems simple, but fun. I've only played the SNES and PSone titles when it comes to Final Fantasy... so... yeah...

Well the only Final Fantasy game on later systems that is good is FF10. Well worth at least a playthrough.

I've gotten very, very mixed reactions about that game. Some love it, some hate it beyond words. If I didn't feel the urge to punch Tidus everytime I see him I might give it a try.

To me personally it's heavily under-rated.
The story is rather good, each of the characters are unique and in some small interesting. The gameplay is fun, and it doesn't seem like you need to spend forever grinding.

Speaking of underrated games, have you played Bahamut Lagoon? Maybe it's the strategy-with-RPG-elements setup that makes me enjoy it, but there's a bit of character developement as the story progresses. With a cast of like... 20-30 people (or something like that), and how they change the further you get... I dunno, maybe it's just me, but that's a game I really enjoy.

One other VERY under-rated game is Grandia 2.
This is by far my favorite RPG. Such an amazing story.
