Actually, BUYING a horse isn't what's expensive. You can get a horse for just riding purposes for very cheap. Where the cost runs is in boarding the horse, maintaining them, feeding them, having a farrier and a vet, and saddles and bits and blankets and helmets and a horse trailer and so on and so forth, haha

oh yeah, trust me, I know. When i was little I was a co-border with a friend of mine. We shared a feisty little pinto mare named Pumpkin. I loved that horse. *Sighs* but we ran into some hard times money-wise and mom couldn't keep up with her half of the costs. I don't know what ever happened to her. I miss her though.

Sorry, I just despise the incorrectly named Daylight Savings Time scam and the time and money wasted by it. I suppose it's a good thing that they can't really legislate physical laws like that, one set of fantasy novels had a reality where a mages council actually could and did legislate the laws of reality, and it was so beaurocratic that they made it a physical law what kind of clothing barbarians wore, what one's roll in life was and options for changing class, if any, and even that an adventuring party on a quest had to have certain classes of people, including one traitor, in the make-up.

I've read books like that. And dun look at me, I follow the Jewish calendar, lol

Refering to how you can't escape the rediculousness of Daylight Savings Time, well unless you live in Hawaii. I refer to it as the 'selfish Child' syndrome as it's little different than a child crying about having to go to bed early, only it's adults crying about not getting just one more hour of daylight after work instead of just accepting you only have so many sunlit hours in a day.

You do know that everyone responsible for the implementation of daylight savings time is dead now, right? Because you sound like you think George Bush did it. It was implemented by some brit friends of Benjamin Franklin, based on his original idea.

Prior to the early 1800s and the widespread building of railroads, all across the world, for the most part what time it was a local matter in every single town on earth, and generally anyone who had a watch or a clock had to change the time on it monthly to match noon on the local sundial (Only large cities kept a standard time based on large, central clocks, and most of those got changed to better suit the time of sunset at least twice throughout the year, too). And, it makes obvious sense that local times such as I just mentioned would have been universally closer to daylight savings time than they would have been to keeping the same time all year.

The actual time in which sunlight hits any part of the earth, and when, isn't actually -changed- by daylight savings time, you know? And furthermore, for every single consumer-based business in a part of the world that observes it, daylight savings time saves money / improves their earnings by allowing both their employees, and their patrons, to be at work during productive hours.

Keeping the sunset as close to the same clock time as possible, which is what daylight savings time effectively does, is a convenience that outweighs the piddling trouble of remembering to change your clock twice a year, in my opinion. If there's actually a money wasting scam to it, I'd love to hear how that works?
