Well, most of it works for paper as well... you just have to remember to draw lightly. You can't lower the opacity, but you can still sketch out a stick figure, fill out the body first, then fill out the limbs, check the proportions and draw your character on top. =)

I can't, because I'm a heavy-handed artist... making dark lines no matter how light I try to do it. xD

Oh man, you were right. I tried it last night, created my own spreadsheet, then used my own type of spread sheet to create a body on a seperate sheet of paper. It was hard at first (All those erase marks @.@;...) But I got it. I'll be looking for red lines from you soon. =3

I'm always a person who just draws freely without a model. I kind of just draw it naturally. But now that I have my own tablet, hopefully this tutorial will help me out. ^w^

Freestyle is good for some people, but for others freestyle leads to bad proportions or bad pose... if you're good freestyling, go with it. =)

If you wanna try model sheets... also go for it. ^_^ No pressure either way. =)

Okay I've been wondering...

What are the head-to-shoulder ratios? I mean, whenever I try to draw a femboy or a woman, something, it looks like the shoulders are too small or too large.

Head-to-shoulder ratios are different for every artist and how they portray the genders. All I can say is if you want to draw a femboy, make sure the shoulders are narrow. If you want to draw a male, make sure the shoulders are wide. You should be able to eyeball it and fix it if it's wrong while you're sketching out the piece.

Generally, there is no such thing as "too narrow" or "too wide" shoulders. It all depends on your style, but I would suggest that the shoulders never be narrower than the head. That makes the head look really, really large and disproportionate.
