I know the feeling... though really, i'd hope you're not entirely put off. most artists are quite good with communication and certainly don't take so long.


have you tried asking for a refund? if you have and nothing is forthcoming, you should possibly report the matter since, technically it is theft.

There was a lot of work done, several different poses and sketches, but there was always problems and there was never an attempt to fix the work, only to start again with something else which always ended up having something to fix. Think they got irritated with it and just wanted it done, so did one through entire. Went from a body outline, circles and lines pose, to coloured shaded and finished with no interim stages I could've had the problems changed during, and no communication to avoid them being made in the first place.

He put in plenty of work, on a pay by the hour rate he put in much more than what I paid. Just the the end product is simply not something I want posted anywhere, to be honest it's something I want to forget. Rather torn between wanting my money back, but what I want more is a piece of work I'm happy with.

its understandable that art is a sporadic area of study. sometimes inspiration comes and goes. but the thing that artists have to realize that a commision is not them drawing a picture for you, and you being nice enough to pay them. you are HIRING them, for a JOB to do something for you. and if the outcome is inadequate its fully within your morally acceptable rights to get either a refund, a discount, or a fix at the artists expense to what was the problem.

Commisions are a job, not a charity :\
