White Shadows, by Coldplay, from X&Y
Despite X&Y being the black sheep of Coldplay albums, I rather enjoy it. Yes, a lot of the band's weakest songs are on it, but a few of their best songs are on it too. No, the album isn't as collectively solid as the other album's they've put out, but it still had some excellent pieces.
White Shadows isn't as good as other songs from X&Y like Swallowed in the Sea or A Message or Talk, but I still rather love the song. The melody is solid and engaging, the sort of celestial feel of the tune overall (especially at the end) combined with the lyrics of being part of the grand system make for a really deep song.
